Re: E3 2017
Rabbids Kingdom Battle looked quite different to what I expected, and it looks fun. I'll pick it up depending on reviews - I'm worried about potential low difficulty in a Mario SRPG.
Beyond Good & Evil I#'m excited to see back, but I want to know more.
I liked Ubisoft's conference. The pirate game looked fun too. I thought it was a pretty good showing all in.

I thought something similar about Rabbids Kingdom Battle, but I think even if the difficulty is baby level, the game itself could still be cute and fun. I pre-ordered it today. I detest rabbids, but I love anything Mario, so I'm willing to bite the bullet on it.alienjesus wrote:Rabbids Kingdom Battle looked quite different to what I expected, and it looks fun. Re: E3 2017
From what they showed, it looked like the battle was at the very beginning of the game and the combos and jump mechanic looks really interesting. I think we will have a fleshed out and in depth strategy game that parents can play and enjoy while their kids are watching and laughing along. We will see though!Forlorn Drifter wrote:I'm honestly not sure. I didn't have any idea of what kind of game it was, and seeing its a modern XCOM like strategy game was the last thing I expected. At this point, I'd have to play it to make a call. As long as it is varied enough and doesn't drag on pointlessly, and brings on some Rabbid humor, I'm all for it unless the gameplay fails somewhere.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Curious to know what folks thought of that rabbids game post reveal.

Re: E3 2017
Did anyone ever play Rabbids Go Home for Nintendo Wii? I heard that one was pretty decent.
Re: E3 2017
I'm not interested in the Rabbids game but it looks fine. Just not for me.
That GI Joe BJ is incredible.

Oh damn...
I just realized the EA conference blew over with nothing on Dead Space again. Guess it really is still dead.
Re: E3 2017
I agree on both your points about the modern titles. It really is an expansion and not a very good one. I got fed up with it around the giant walking mechs/canal area and just put it aside and forgot about it until I sold the PS4 games off. I figured as insanely well the first one did, it would get a real sequel and not a crap pack only so I intended to wait on a sweet Steam deal and snap them up on there since I already paid once full price.Xeogred wrote:I mean I just beat System Shock 1 haha. So yeah, I shouldn't have said it's an age thing there. But I don't like Wolfenstein's looks and graphics. Some people hate Doom because it's too "maze like" which I never agree with, but I can totally see it with Wolfenstein. Too bland and boring for me.
The last one was The Old Blood which was kind of an expansion to The New Order. I agree it wasn't nearly as good, not to mention the final boss was a huge pain in the ass.
I'm glad BJ is back.
Now I'm motivated.
...and I get it with the boring bit, Wolf3D is best in doses, not hours of play these days. You have to be in a mood. I have it on GoG but I also have the skinflint cheaped out version for GBA where they went with a lower cost ROM and removed the beautiful music of the game leaving only the sound effects. I've played old Wolf3D so much I can still hear the tunes in my head though.
And WOW on that huge 60s style GIJoe figure. Tempting, and almost never do collector's boxes tempt me.
Speedy: Then they're arrogant jerks if that is worth a chuckle on Switch, very uncool. What they're doing with that game for a portable system is quite very well done. Too bad the PC elite can't handle something under like 1440 or better quality with a few hundred frames per second smoothness to keep them euphoric. I got over caring about petty crap like that ages ago. If it runs 30 or 60fps solid depending on the title and at a basic HD (720 or 1080) level I see no reason to get jerkish about it.

If it's Intelligent Systems, then I'm totally down for another X-com style game from them. They already showed they could do a good X-com style game with Project STEAM, but now they have an IP that hopefully people will actually care about XpForlorn Drifter wrote:I'm honestly not sure. I actually didn't care that much for Codename STEAM. Never finished it. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but it always felt kind of just okay to me.PartridgeSenpai wrote:If it's Intelligent Systems, then I'm totally down for another X-com style game from them.
