I also noticed that the top reviews had perfect helpful scores without actually talking about the content of the book or how it was presented, just "this book made be a believer!" Whereas the one stars had cogent arguments of "these were the following failings with the author's thesis and presentation".

The arrogant toad called a snap election because she wanted to crush the opposition and have an even larger majority. There was no legitimate reason for it at all, despite what she was claiming. Brexit had nothing to do with it. It was entirely because her and the party's approval ratings were through the roof (god only knows why) and the opposition were at possibly their weakest position ever as far as the polls were concerned, and she is an arrogant opportunist with a huge ego.

I personally laugh in her face. She and her rancid party got what they deserved. Actually, they didn't, because what they deserved was for Labour to outright win the election, but that was an impossibility and them defying the odds and going up against the media and actually coming second, gaining a huge swing in their favour after 2015 and stopping the Tories' majority when they were written off and laughed at by the media, is just too sweet.

Labour are now ahead in the latest poll. No wonder she's desperately clinging to power and trying to form a coalition with the DUP, a party with some fairly dodgy links to extremism and a manifesto that is best described as "the old testament, but with fortnightly rubbish collections". Her position is untenable now though, so it won't be long before her own party oust her and they find themselves in an even weaker position. Unfortunately, if the Conservatives pull this off, they will be in power for another 5 years, but it does look unlikely that will happen, fingers crossed.
