Old School Pirate Games?

Post by onemanfilmcrew »

Hey, I'm looking for older console Pirate games (and by older, I mean virtually anything pre N-64). Can anybody give me some suggestions?

Well, there's always the obvious Monkey Island series.

Also, would you count parts of games? Disney's Adventures in the Magic Kingdom on the NES had a Pirates of the Caribbean level that you might be interested in.

The Secret of Monkey Island! (Hey, it was released for the sega cd, so it counts!)
Hook, also for the Sega CD

I'm sure there's movie themed ones for the snes and genesis too

Definitely play Hook, but on the SNES. Its pretty much the same game, only they added really bad voice overs and different music for the levels (there may be other differences that I'm not aware of). Its like they ported the game, then added that shit to try and show off what they could do on CDs.

And by bad voice overs, I was being very generous. It's like ONE dude did all the voices... including Tinker Bell! SNES is just a much better version, in my opinion.

I really enjoyed the Uncharted Waters series in the Genesis.
