Sure Shevas AI is semi-retarded, but it didnt stop it from being a good game, now i gotta go back and actually beat RE4, i never finished it when it came out.
she really did suck, and you are a sinner, go and beat 4 asap
she isn't so bad. I feel like capcom did a decent job with making her a middle ground player. She isn't a great co-op player, but i've played online with people who were worse than that AI. It does however, make playing veteran/professional kind of difficult. I found the AI to make the same kind of mistakes at random times, and when you play on a higher difficulty the guys hit you so much harder than they do on lower difficulties. It is harder to bounce back from the AI doing something dumb.

Anyway- my point is that the AI does dumb things, but so do people i play with online. So to the people pointing out the faults of the AI, i say meh. Plus, if she was a rambo tank of a player i wouldn't get to shoot at anything and it would be boring. I've stepped into games with people like that and didn't have any fun at all.

Agree completely, you could have skipped RE 5 and that would be forgivable, but not the game that inspired everything in RE 5 and is actually a better game

Yahtzee has done a great RE 5 review that I mostly agree with as my opinion of the game has gone down more and more with each play. It's like I'm in denial waiting for the game to magically become awesome. Some great quotes:

"At least in RE4 an egg was the size of an egg! In RE5 an egg seems to take up the same amount of space as an AK-47!"

"If you want to wear armor, that takes up an inventory space too! You're carrying your armor in a pocket of your armor!"

His best line though was something along the lines of Capcom isn't racist, THEY'RE JUST STUPID

Truer words have never been spoken

I did the same thing. 4 is such an intense ride that honestly i got a little exhausted of it and needed to play something else. It is totally worth coming back to though. I'm thinking of picking it up again soon and playing through the extra stuff.
