When I said good movies are still being made outside Hollywood, I didn't mean in the USA. European, Asian, and even Indian films were what I'm talking about.
I have watched alot of Bollywood aswell as Nollywood. What are some of these high quality films from the markets? Genuinely interested in knowing which ones you consider quality.

Sadley, (if your in the us and if you consider it sad) one day we all might find ourselfs watching mostly Indian, British, or Japanese films because those companies are the only ones coming up with new original ideas. And im guessing they wont have the same actors in rotation...and maybe those companies will embrace technology to a greater extent. America thrived in the movie buisness for the last 100 years becuase we had an edge, we had the vision, and we attracted talent. Im sorry to say pretty much all that has changed in the last 10 years.

Some Bollywood films I enjoyed:

Mughal-e-Azam
Pink
Magadheera
Krrish (not so much its sequels)
Anniyan
Ek Tha Tiger
Dangal
Titli
Legend
Singham (and sequels)
Chupke Chupke
Gangs of Wasseypur I & II
Kiran Bedi

And if you don't love Endhiran, you may be dead inside.

Yep, foreign markets never succumb to sequelitis. Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna go watch Lone Wolf and Cub 6, followed by Sleepy Eyes of Death 12, and the Beat Takeshi remake of Zatoichi, which originally only had 26 film entries.

Or maybe I could go watch another film based on the Chushingura story, which only has...oh, at least a dozen film versions, with the occasional annual release of a new version, not including the countless made-for-tv versions and other media.

There are 37 Doraemon animated films, plus one computer animated film.

Just thought I'd mention that.

None of these silly comments about foreign film sequels makes me feel any more lenient towards today's boring Hollywood.

Oh, we're not trying to make you feel lenient. We're instead showing you that the film industry worldwide is made up of money-grubbing vampires who don't believe anything in your life is sacred.

All you're really doing is showing me that people can't stand unpopular opinions even if they're expressed in an unpopular opinion thread.
