Make a Dreamcast WiFi connection?

Post by Segatari2002 »

I've recently come into possession of the much coveted Dreamcast Broadband Adapter (don't ask me how much this cost!) and while I was hooking it up I had a thought. If I found a suitable wireless network adapter, is it technically possible to make my Dreamcast connect to the internet via WiFi? I'm not computer genius by any means, but the logic here seems sound enough to me but I was wondering if there are any unseen roadblocks I might be heading towards that someone can point out before I waste more money buying the necessary parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone has the case art for Popful Mail (Sega CD), I'd like to speak with you!

Buy a Linksys WRT54G, the older style with the antennae, and then go here: http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2007/10/02/ ... -xbox-360/

Substitute every time the guide says xbox with dreamcast lol

Already tried it, works like a charm.

Its price is ridiculous..some 3rd party company really should make a new one for a fraction of price of the official one.

Because there's SO much demand that creating a new manufacturing line for a niche product would really lower the price... Sarcasm aside, it ain't gonna happen, for many reasons, financial included.

how much do you think it would cost for a company who manufactures similar things to put out a limited run of dreamcast BBAs? obviously it will never happen. Say they had about 500 units bought and paid for, how much would it cost per unit, with them obviously taking their necessary profit
