Really nice site Elvis, I've build my MAME cab as well from an existing source, But I'm giving seriously thought to building a cocktail, or table top vert cab because I'm thinking about getting into PCB's. I have a 19" RGB with really minor burn in, chasis etc, and a PSU, and a bunch of HAPP parts sitting around, I may just have to get off my ass and learn some carpentry. I think a sweet little table top for some Schmups would be nice.

I love my vertical cocktail. Perfect for shmups, and always fun when guests come around. I recently built a similar one for someone as an exchange (he did the photography for my wedding). He's a big Galaga/Galaxian fan, and having his own cabinet was a dream come true for him.

There's everything there from Byrdo's custom works of art to some of the dodgiest ghetto cardboard box sticks I've ever seen. Definitely a little something for everyone.

Ive got two Hori Wii sticks, 1 Sega Virtual stick, and then whatever I can build that will interface with a console. I like Happs components, but do use Sanwa JLFs if the occasion is right.

Granted, I still have not found a stick I like for danmaku shooters more than a pad.

Yeah, I know it's a dead thread, but I finally pulled everything out of storage, dusted it off, and took more pictures for insurance.

Here's a long shot of everything, followed by 2 halves. If I don't have a box for it, I posted it loose. Man, I wish I had boxes for the older stuff! Favorite right now is probably the HORI Tekken 5 for the PS2. Least favorite is the Soul Calibur Universal stick by Nuby. And notice that the old SMS sticks at the bottom have the stick transposed (right handed, 2600 style!!)

Other notable pieces are the N64 "arcade shark", which has both digital and analog sticks, and the Japanese Saturn Virtua Stick. Night and day difference between US and Japan sticks. That seems fair...

I have the Japanese Saturn stick. I've noticed my stick is a little loose, though. I can put barely any pressure on it and it'll read that direction. Anyone know how to tighten up the stick action?

Just out of curiosity, do you not like modding sticks? I can tell it's a collection, but you have doubles or more of a lot of sticks. (I try to never buy the same controller twice - color variations usually). You didn't want to get a different stick for that system or modify some sticks to work on various consoles to take care of multiplayer?

Yup, they were clearing them out at toys r us oh so long ago. I've used it for Star Soldier and.... Star Soldier. But like I said, theoretically you could use it for any game since the middle "stick" is analog. Came with a single stick you could screw in to either the analog or digital pad.

As far as modding; no, I have no desire to mod. and the duplicates have to do with delusions of having multiplayer nights with people who actually want to kick it old school The 3 twin shocks are for bomberman. Bought them for $50, $20, and $5(used) respectively as they faded into obscurity.

Yeah, duplicates are very useful for things like Street Fighter night. Last time we had a single 360 stick and then a standard controller. It sucked when I would be on the pad as opposed to the stick.

My thoughts exactly. We setup a round-robin tourney with the SF anniversary 15th anniversary sticks. It was alot of fun for a bunch of novices like us.

Opinions on the official Sega Saturn Stick (not the full blown "Virtua" version)? I was thinking about picking one or two up.
