Re: What are you playing?
If its any consolation, I think 6-3 is much easier than 6-2. And if you want a bonus hint

Yeah, even with that trick, that is the nastiest part of the game, save the final boss.
If you can get past that one part, though, you should be home free (at least up to the last boss, of course).
If you manage to take Jump Slash in there it can help quite a bit, but it can be tough to hang on to.

Arkanoid vs Space Invaders (iOS)
This mashup ($3.99) is terrific. You rebound space invader bullets to take out enemies and blocks. Your Vaus can be a bunch of Taito characters (unlocked as you progress), who each have their own skill - and you can nab falling skill blocks as you would a power up in arkanoid.
The levels are timed (so you don't have to catch each bullet) and you build up a gauge for a power shot where the clock does not run.
I'm only about 30 levels in so far but highly recommend.

Re: What are you playing?
I started Sonic Adventure on the Sega Dreamcast this evening!
My friend has a huge projector in which we play games on. Several years ago, I watched him play the first level of this game and it was the most immersive experience I had ever had. Watching it almost made me sick as this huge image was jerking around all the time. That alone caused me to get the game.
I kind of have a love/hate relationship with Sonic. Sonic 2 is my first Genesis game and I absolutely love it. I also know how unfair and mean the game can be to newcomers and near the end. The other Sonic Genesis games are basically the same, just with lighter fervor.
I have heard that most 3D Sonic games are terrible and I have no interest in the later ones, but I am curious about the Dreamcast entries. The camera does jerk around and Sonic doesn't move quite as smoothly as he should and the characters mouths move like nightmare fuel.
But, I was really enjoying it. The sense of speed is impressive and the colors are so large and vibrant. It's a little rough, but so far, so good!

I've tried many of them including Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, and they were all terrible.Markies wrote:I have heard that most 3D Sonic games are terrible
However, I absolutely love Sonic Colors on Wii, it's tremendously good.

Most Sonic games of any kind are terrible, really.
The good ones are pretty solid though.

Yeah. Gotta admit you're not wrong!BoneSnapDeez wrote:Most Sonic games of any kind are terrible, really.

I wouldn't call Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 terrible per se, but they're definitely somewhere on the mediocre-range (exactly where depending on who you talk to (like a 4-6 rating on an actual 1-10 scale)). I'd be very hesitant to give either anything above a 6 just because of the serious narrative, camera, and occasionally control issues each title has. Neither is totally irredeemable though.
