No not really. Autotune is instant fail. It's a pretty bad film. It tried to be shot for shot but then leaves out parts that were needed in the animated film. It shows Disney has no creativity anymore just dip in a old well. They tried to replicate the animated film but offered nothing new thus making it entirely pointless. Live action doesn't convey the story any better..it's actually worse for it. Emma isn't a very good actress to begin with as always and seemingly can't sing worth shit so they autotuned her. Worse yet when Belle sung in the animated film she sung with confidence. Emma doesn't. The film it absolute trash.
When I was a kid doing Halloween Curse I really thought this was rock bottom for films making tired sequels like this. These days even that POS seems like glitter in todays Hollywood devoid of ideas and half assed remakes that forget the entire point of the original. Adding more special effects and just trying to replicate the original doesn't make it better or even good.

So, here's the thing. I agree with you that obvious autotune is problematic. I also think slavish adherence to the animated Disney original is problematic. But looking at the critical reviews in details, it's clear this isn't a bad film. It might be unnecessary and have some problems, but the general critical consensus seems to be that it's pretty entertaining. Also, that reply is pretty dismissive of noise. All that said, I don't expect I would like it much, because I don't need that kind of rehash in my life right now.
