You haven't killed the wolf yet? I thought that was required by the point you're at, hmm...marlowe221 wrote:I'd like to beat the game, just to say I have if nothing else.Xeogred wrote:Hope it helps! I think you got this man. Only major roadblock I see ahead is the final boss, but he is easy for some people apparently.
Which area would you recommend I try first? I got my ass kicked in New Londo. But I have made some progress in the catacombs...
Also, I've read that I need to kill a giant wolf in Darkroot. Is that right?
New Londo leads to Four Kings, which some have trouble with. I think even I did, so he was the last of the big four for me.
I think I did Duke's Archives first. Which is basically an extension of Anor Londo. But it then leads to the Crystal Cave, which holy crap man... it was the craziest level gimmick I've ever seen in these games. It's outrageous and laughable, but you'll never forget it. I recall Seath getting me a few times, but wasn't too bad once I really went in prepared.
Demon Ruins I don't recall being too hard, but it's a longer route. A lot of early game bosses are normal enemies here haha, but they are much easier with a lot more space to utilize. Towards the end of this path, there's a huge lava lake area with tons of literal giant enemies which aren't that hard and they don't respawn. I recommend taking out a few of them because the main boss here Bed of Chaos is kind of a puzzle boss. So if you take out these enemies the run back to the boss won't be as bad. A LOT of people hate Bed of Chaos and it took me some trial and error, but I didn't think it was too bad.
Catacombs sucks, but it's kind of short. Maybe knock that one out first to get that crap over with haha. I don't think I really had anything to light up the area when I played, so it was a real pain. The dinosaur-esque skeleton enemies here that jump out at you were the scariest enemies in the game to me.
Maybe that helps a little? Honestly I wish I could say. Maybe isiolia can elaborate more since he just replayed it again I think. I would say just try to tackle them one at a time, but if you get stuck don't be afraid to back out and try another route, like I did to mop up the Four Kings in the end.
