Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
What does antagonizing and mocking my mental health and "calling someone out" accomplish on a internet forum? Shall I mock your looks? It's easy to point out flaws and mock people. It does nothing. The thread is about unpopular opinions. Yeah most don't agree...that's the point.

I am sorry that you were offended by me saying crazy. It was not meant to mock your mental health, but seriously, stop complaining and just enjoy games. Just enthuse a bit because all I see from you is bitching and moaning. It is relentless.Segata wrote:What does antagonizing and mocking my mental health and "calling someone out" accomplish on a internet forum? Shall I mock your looks? Sorry you see it that way. I am just going to stop talking about it now. Topic went way off course and possibly a Anchor Man meme is coming lol.

Par for the course.
As far as Tales go, I like them, but one thing I run sour on with element wise in them and quite a few others are time wasting annoying ass boss rushes to fill time and drag a game out further than necessary. Not really an exclusive to RPGs, just more annoying since you often need to navigate to them through some annoying run of sorts (popping over a map all over, through some deep dungeon, etc.) It's stupid annoying filler, get creative and make something more interesting, new mini bosses to fight, or just leave that crap out.

Filler of any type is a valid complaint. Boss rushes are an element of the past that has, for the most part, been moved on through. Some games though...yikes!Tanooki wrote:Par for the course.

At least add new elements, attack patterns and the like and have it make sense context wise. Sure it may be the same boss, but they are mutated, have robots arms or give them an alteration of some kind.

Sometimes it is fun to rag on games you don't like. It's cathartic after you've given X game hours of your limited lifespan, and you get a crappy return on your investment.
But if you don't enjoy any of your gaming, then I have to side with Bogus, maybe it's time for a new hobby. At least for a while.

Gaming is my everything. I wear it daily. Listen to it daily. Watch it daily. Play it daily. Live it daily. I fucking love gaming so insane levels. I also have many opinions and some are just what people don't like and that is why I post them in this topic rather than the topics containing those games or whatever.Exhuminator wrote:Sometimes it is fun to rag on games you don't like. Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
See, I see this thread as an unpopular opinion thtead, not a needless complaining thread. I understand the need to vent frustrations or point out flaws... It is necessary in all things. I was talking to folks about this idea and many see that having an unpopular opinion is having a negative opinion. I don't see it that way and accept that it is weird. I have unpopular opinions about positive things, like loving old pc games and text based adventures and genuinely enjoying fmv games and having opinions and passions about the myst franchise that no one seems to get.Segata wrote:Gaming is my everything. Okay here's an unpopular positive opinion...
I FUCKING LOVE KING'S FIELD
I really enjoyed Everblue and the Endless Ocean games. They are like nothing else in gaming, and every one of them has been a treasure of pure adventure and unique joy. I wish more people would play these games and love them. I'm very looking forward to playing through Everblue 2 in June.
