Wolfestein: The New Order feels like a B-reel of Half-Life 2, the similarities are uncanny. I mean, it's not the only game that feels like that but the level design makes it a very good example of it.

Plays two games in a series of a bajillion and complains they aren't good. Seriously man, you need to relax about video games. Just because the tales series exists does not mean you have been deprived of a game you do want to play. What pleasure does this uninformed shit talking get you?Segata wrote:um what? Pretty graphics are not why I play a game. They can be a nice bonus. They are the least determine factor tho for me. Thing is every Take sgame I have played it just every JRPG cliche wrapped in one so I can never finish them. I only played a few however. TOS,TOS 2..still have one of them on PS2 and played the demo of the most recent one. They just feel very stiff with a boring world. Bland characters. Bland art direction. A not very interesting combat system. Tho the demo on the latest one was better.PartridgeSenpai wrote:I mean, I mostly like them for the writing. That's the reason I play RPGs (and usually any game) is because the narrative is well put together and/or the characters are very well constructed. I can't really identify with your plight if you play 40+ hour games just for pretty graphics and very dynamic gameplay. If that's the case then I'd say that RPG's just aren't your genre.Segata wrote:I keep trying them and I don't know why. I just can never get into the Tales series. They always feel and look meh to me. Visually bland. Bland gameplay. Blandity bland bland. Music can be great in some of them. I don't know why I keep trying them when I come to the same conclusion every time.

Eh? I have played 3 to completion A 4th somewhat on PS2 and a demo of a 5th game. I am as relaxed as they get. Of those 5 that's my opinion. If you don't like it..don't read it. If a series shares many issues between 5 games despite having many entries then it can't just be those games but the series itself. I still keep trying to give them a shot. You're the only one here who seems to be angry. I never said anything about being deprived. If you keep throwing fits at my posts you disagree with in a unpopular opinion topic and I hate to to this but I'm sorry I may put you on ignore. I don't wish to do that as I like to interact with everyone.BogusMeatFactory wrote: Plays two games in a series of a bajillion and complains they aren't good. Your post said otherwise, with you saying you played two and had one unplayed and a demo. Use your words. If you keep giving them a shot they aren't for you and move on.Segata wrote:Eh? Why should I move on? What is wrong with giving something a chance? The sheer thought I may one day enjoy them. Didn't used to like shmups or RPGs way back when. Now I love them.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Your post said otherwise, with you saying you played two and had one unplayed and a demo. Use your words. I just don't see how you don't enjoy the tales series for the main elements that make up the series yet you keep playing them to completion. Why? Are you hoping they suddenly go turn based? What is it that you are hoping they accomplish that will change their identity to your liking? They aren't. Go play things you like. You can not play every game in existence. Why torture yourself like this? Why waste your time for 40+ hour games you know you aren't going to enjoy?

You're making a lot of assumptions. I often even play games I despise as there is a lot you can learn from them. I like ARPGs more typically but also like Turn based. hell Xenoblade and Dragon Age Origins is turn based and love em. I never said anything about playing every game in existence. It's not torture. I didn't even make a angry comment once. You seem extremely agitated and there is no reason to be. It's ironic is I am posting what this topic was intended for and you are complaining about the well complaining. Now relax man. We can all be friends here. If you keep up these angry posts at me tho I will repeat what i said before. I don't want to do this as I like to interact with everyone but I will sadly have to put you on ignore. That would be a shame because I want to see what everyone contributes whether I agree with them or not.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I just don't see how you don't enjoy the tales series for the main elements that make up the series yet you keep playing them to completion. You think I am mad because you interpret my words as such. I am far from it. I just don't like your meaningless complaints and will call you out on it. Sorry that you feel like I am antagonizing you, but if you don't want people to call you out on your complaints. stop complaining and enjoy video games. You would get along with me quote nicely if you stopped complaining.
