I agree. I feel that, while not the backbone Sega or Microsoft had hoped, these games were important in defininf the console beyond the AAA, Western space.

Did Jet Set Radio Future do well enough to be considered defining? It certainly caught my eye, along with PD Orta. My suspicion is that neither were nearly as popular or top-selling as I would have hoped.

I think those are both a little too niche to consider Xbox defining. You might be able to make a case for JSRF though.

JSRF was a pack-in game for a good while, so I would include it...

Orta is more of a Hidden Gem, IMO though

Oh yeah totally forgot about that, didn't it come with a Sega racing game too?

Morrowind has to be on the list. It was the first real pc port that worked and people went nuts over it. It was a very big deal for the system.

I would say shenmue 2...because shenmue but no it does not really deserve being on the list.

Halo
Half-Life 2
Knights of the Old Republic
Crimson Skies
Jade Empire
Forza Motorsport
Unreal Championship
Patron Saint of Bitch Mode

Steel Battalion would be an interesting choice. It's the game everyone knows but nobody played because of the cost of the controller.

Except for Fastbilly, who has owned...several of those controllers.
