Hell yeah it does. It's like a grapeshot of action to the face. One of the highest highs that I can think of in video games. I guess from that perspective--in that the game doesn't quite maintain that level of chaos throughout--I can see dunpeal's point about the troughs in its action, though.

Its highs are astounding though, definitely agree there. When HC is good, it is so good.

Continuing on Rondo. Enjoying the alternate stages and bosses quite a bit so far. However, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out the secret path out of Stage 3. I did some clever shit that I thought was taking me there, but it just gave me a giant heart.

Would rather explore it out myself, but am I wrong in assuming the alternate Stage 4 can be accessed via the alternate Stage 3?

Seriously had that Hard Corps' first stage theme stuck in my head all day:

Best song since the iconic Jungle theme.

Although, the song isn't as epic without the barrage of explosions and chaos. 8)

Every stage up to the boss rush has a regular and an alternate exit. So even the alternate stages have a regular and alternate exit. The alternate exit from stage 3' involves breaking the chain on a spiked ball to open a hole and then falling down the hole after it.

I started The Need For Speed on the Sony Playstation this evening!

Yep, the very first one!

Since it was kind of a PC port, it plays very much like one from back in the day. With that being said, the controls and driving is very tight and responsive. The cars feel great and you do get a sense of speed when driving!

Though, the AI seemed a little brutal when doing some practice races. I am going to dive deeper into the tournament mode, so hopefully the game won't be too difficult. I hope the game doesn't make it so I have to drive perfectly!

I have three games in the works at the moment. I am playing puyo puyo tetris on the switch for some nice good old fashioned puzzle games. I am also starting a little early my summer game challenge due to time management with Ultima 7:The black gate (I would like to tackle the expansions as well) and putting time I to vanilla Everquest through project 1999.

let me just say that Ultima 7 is a truly spectacular game that is very fulfilling to play and such an engaging storyline.

Also, at some point, I need to go on a wild tangent as to why people should look back at the original everquest and see why I consider to still be a spectacular game and worth people's time.

I've tried out all the characters in Hard Corps, but this sure makes Sheena look amazing.

Maybe I will ditch Ray. Laser and Spread don't seem as good in this one. Who do you guys like?

I was also wondering if the slide and hitting an enemy gives you invincible frames... seems like that might be the case.

The slide is an attack so it should have invincibility frames. Sheena has the best slide out of all the characters, I favor Sheena and Fang. Because nothing screams awesome like a Werewolf with sunglasses and a gun for an arm! Seriously, how could you not pick him

Browny has weird weapons, but can be very effective. I'm also thinking about using Fang.
