Well I only said looks awful. Never said it actually was. Been time I thought a game didn't look great but ended up enjoying it...Shadow Blasters Also been times thought a game looked fun but ended up..kinda awful...Exist Archive.

I bought Mega Man X for the Super Nintendo.

Technically, my friend bought it for me. He wants to play it for me as he is quite the Master at the game. I mentioned that I at least want to play and beat it before that happens for spoilers reasons. So, he took it in his hands to buy me the game. I am now going to fumble my way through the game and then he will show me how it is done.

Anyway, I am always excited to continue my Mega Man journey. I beat the 6 games on the NES and this is where the series splits off. We now have the X Series, the original continued with Mega Man 7 and I also want to pick up a Reproduction of the Wily Wars on the Genesis.

So many Mega Man games and I'm only on the second generation of them.

I envy you getting to play this for the first time. If you enjoyed the nes games, then this game is about to blow you away.

Has nothing to do looking anime. I play mostly Japanese games. It just looks like a bad game in general. Not the first time I seen this series.

It's a good thing games aren't just the cover, yeah?

It's a VERY silly 3D brawler about ripping the clothes of off vampires (both male and female) to expose them to the sun so they burn! It knows exactly how stupid and fan-servicey it is and there are SO many stupid dialogue options you can pick. It's a game that had me laughing a ton in the time I've spent with it. I really gotta get back to it, tbh.

The cover actually does tell you Exist Archive is a not fun game because it has the Tri-Ace logo right there on da front . It's like the modern day calling card of a game that has good ideas but poor presentation. At least that's the conclusion I've run into with every Tri-Ace game I've played, both retro and newer.

I enjoyed the first 2 Star Ocean games. 3rd one I hated.

tri-Ace is uneven, but they've got some genuine classics in there. In particular, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Valkyrie Profile, and Valkyrie Profile 2 are excellent games. Infinite Undiscovery gets a lot better after the first three hours or so, and I've always heard Resonance of Fate is good, although I've never put much time into it.

Their recent output has been less than stellar, though. Both the most recent Star Ocean and Exist Archive are apparently stretched out quite a bit. I guess I'll find out soon on the latter, since I ordered it not too long ago for cheap.

I bought Exist Archive a while back, although I honestly have no idea why. I'll probably play it some day. Maybe.

[...]I've always heard Resonance of Fate is good, although I've never put much time into it.

I really enjoyed it. It was cool getting to modify the guns into completely ludicrous, abominations, and the combat is a little tricky, but quite fun once one gets used to it. The Arena battles end up being really challenging, while really fun at the same time. The story is kind of odd, but I mostly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the first 2 Star Ocean games. 3rd one I hated.

The one that was actually released third, chronologically speaking, is pretty fun.
