Ah, yep, it typically gets abbreviated that way, though it can also be abbreviated as the FCD for Famicom Computer Disk. Now admittedly I don't often see much talk of the Disk System, and the FCD abbreviation is an even huger rarity in the lingo in my opinion, but usually folks will just go with FDS for brevity's sake around these parts.
