Guess the game...game. (READ OP*revised* 5/11/17)
Re: Guess the game...game. (read OP)
I'm going to go with Ys 0, since it's not 1 or 2 and looks less advanced than those two.

Ys Origins is a newer title in the series. None of the Ys games take place in modern times. The first Ys game is Ys 1 on PC88MrPopo wrote:I'm going to go with Ys 0, since it's not 1 or 2 and looks less advanced than those two.

Ah okay. I'll give a few as it's a tough one.Segata wrote:you are supposed to give a hint.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Aight y'all.
- 1980s.
- It's not a port or remake, but a completely new adaptation or "reimagining" of an older game.
- Multiple endings.
- Obscure but not particularly expensive.
- Can be played on a RetroFreak, cannot be played on a Retron 5.
Have at it!

Ok after 2 hours I could not find a thing but ask a game dev friend for some help. I think I narrowed it down to a PCE/TG16 game. Unless your clone console throws the pixeling of he ruled out some systems based on use of color and pixels. I am still searching. I'm determined to find it.

Yeah, despite having an idea of the system, I can't even come close to figuring this one out. Maybe I'm way off base.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Ah okay. I'll give a few as it's a tough one.Segata wrote:you are supposed to give a hint.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Aight y'all.

Well if no one has guessed it by tomorrow it's void and someone can go.

If it helps anyone, I've been assuming it's an SG1000 game due to the bold colours, simple graphics and 'blocked' sections of colour. Also due to Bone loving 2nd gen stuff, the game being from the 80s and Bone specifically picking up a RetroFreak for SG1000 games.
However, I have literally looked through what I believe the be the whole library for the system now, and can't see anything resembling this, so maybe I'm off base.

The RetroFreak hint may have been a bit of an unintentional red herring. What I said was technically true, but perhaps misleading for someone who's not acquainted with that particular system
I want someone to get this, so let me drop another hint: it's NOT a PCE/TG16, SuperGrafx, or SG-1000 game.
