Guess the game...game. (READ OP*revised* 5/11/17)

Well maybe we trust people not to be cheating bastards and doing that (what's the point in doing something like that?) I would prefer to take my own screenshots to add extra challenge but i don't have means to do that on most platforms unless i use my phone.

How is it cheating? Are we only allowed to name the game if we recognize it? Are we not allowed to research it to figure it out? Isn't Google Image search a fair research tool to use to figure out the source of an image?

Do i really need to explain this to you? Of course you can do research but getting the answer by reverse image search is same as having all the answer for a test. That's not research.

Reasearch was when i looked at the first picture on page 3 and the tip related to it and and got the vibes that it could potentially be from the same developers as EDF. Then i googled EDF series and looked at the developers and found out that one of the teams that worked on that series also worked on Wii game called Zangeki no Reginleiv. Then i googled that games name and confirmed it.

That's research.

He's not right. There were no "rules" set up about what is a "fair" method of discovering the game or not, so if the OP wants to have a game where certain methods are approved or not approved, then he needs to be up front about it. In the past we warned people against the ease of using Google Image Search in this kind of game in case they actually wanted to offer some stumpers. Some will take this care, some will not (I just posted one that can easily be found that way myself).

I encourage my students to use all resources available to them when operating within the rules. If there are no rules, it is not fair to arbitrarily call one form of research out as cheating, which is what the OP did.
