Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
I've lost count of how many times my friends and I have tried to plan that out with Borderlands.

I've beaten Borderlands and the sequel in both solo and multiplayer(and the Pre-Sequel in multiplayer). You gotta set a regular time to play, pick your characters to compliment your playstyle, and get a feel for the mechanics. Eventually you can devise some ludicrous builds that are hilarious. I had a maxed out Roland with a machine gun that sounded like a chainsaw when everything went right. I'd go through 150 rounds in about three seconds. Not much survives that.

I used to have fun playing rainbow six games on coop. There was a certain team mantality that i cant find in most online shooters anymore. It probably had something to do with me or most others not caring about any kind of rank or level.Ack wrote:You guys should get more into the world of FPS co-op games. Trust me, if you have a few friends willing to learn and play the game with you, it immediately improves the experience.

I just hopped on and randomly played with people for Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel. I even enjoyed the game that way. I really need to go back and revisit the original. I beat it but on my second playthrough got annoyed at how slow the level progression can be.Ack wrote:I've beaten Borderlands and the sequel in both solo and multiplayer(and the Pre-Sequel in multiplayer). I would like to see Devils Third Directors Cut (doesn't exist) but this would do much better now as a PS4 exclusive. Yea, No, Maybe so??
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Well the multiplayer mode is on PC, so its possible. I would happily buy a more fleshed out version of Devil's Third, since I found the game to be surprisingly good.TEKTORO wrote:I would like to see Devils Third Directors Cut (doesn't exist) but this would do much better now as a PS4 exclusive. Dunno if I would call the game good but I will say the game was really fun. I like to think of the game as a bad but fun 1994 action film that went straight to video starring either an ex NFL player or Jean Claude Van Dam's stunt double.dunpeal2064 wrote:Well the multiplayer mode is on PC, so its possible. I still do it occasionally, with a PC almost as old as the kids cussing at me. I like to tell them when they say they slept with my mom last night that I am old enough to be their father and my mother is their grandmothers age. It makes for a fun cycle of conversation.Speedy-Mcspeedz wrote:I find most Fps multiplayer games to be a cesspool of idiocy and selfishness. Accurately representing our journey to achieve the highest rank and or k/d ratio-which in turn for me ends up being an empty expierence every time i play. But for whatever reason i just keep playing..its sort of like self-mutalation.

I feel Shenmue 1 is a far better game than 2. I know Shenmue 2 is really part of the first game in the sense it was supposed to be sold as one copy as chapters 1-5 (and of course 2 cut form the game and just a comic) Anyway. Ryo being a big fish in a small pond was great. The smaller town and atmosphere was just so relaxing. It really felt like being in a small town in 1980s japan.
Shenmue II is more action packed and far more story yes. That's the thing, that's why I loved the first so much. It's just so peaceful. i feel Shenmue II just has to much going on esp late in the game. I never felt the atmosphere while obviously different was as rich as the first game. I won't harp on the books segment as both games have some dumb moments. I do like Shenmue II. it wad the first game I did a 24 hour marathon on. Just there is a reason I only beat it once and played it maybe 3-4 times while the first game it's countless times on both ends.
