What would your dream game compilation be?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

There's a torrent that compiles all of the Cave shmups released on the PS2 (plus Homura) on one disc. Here's a link. I haven't downloaded it, so no guarantee on quality.

For me I'd like a compilation of all the Langrissers released on the Saturn and translated into English. Endless hours of TRPGing right there.

A sega saturn compilation with all three Panzer Dragoons, Radient Silvergun, Shining Force 3, Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers, Magic Knight Rayearth, Albert Odyssey, Dragon Force, Shining the Holy Ark, Nights into Dreams, and Christmas Nights. Pretty much all the Saturn games I've always wanted to play but couldn't because of the price tag.

Too hard to pick just one. But here’s a few.

Metroid Collection – For Nintendo DS. Collects Metroid (with an option for the original NES version or a GBA style Zero Mission), Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and a graphical update of Metroid II for the Game Boy.

Super Wario All-Stars! - For the Nintendo DS. Give us a compilation of Wario Land 1-4, with WL 1-3 getting a big graphical update. Heck, if you want to go all out, throw in a remake of Wario Land VB for the Virtual Boy, which some people say was the only good Virtual Boy game.

Mother Anthology – Preferably for the Wii, but a DS release would be great too. Collects the Earthbound/Mother series. Mother/Earthbound Zero gets a full translation and graphical overhaul, Mother 3/Earthbound 2 gets a full translation as well.

The Ultimate Treasure Chest – Compilation of as many quality Treasure titles as possible. Obviously it’d include Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Headdy, Alien Soldier, Guardian Heroes, Mischief Makers, Bangai-O!, Rakugaki Showtime, Silhouette Mirage, Radiant Silvergun, Sin and Punishment, and Ikaruga. I know this one pretty much has no chance, as it’d be tough to port all of those to one disc, and that there’s still other Treasure games out there. But this would be a fantastic compilation, one I’d be happy to shell out the money for.

Capcom Beat’em Up Anthology. Probably impossible due to licensing issues, this would be a fantastic comp. Give me arcade perfect ports of Alien vs. Predator, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Armored Warriors, Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara, The Punisher, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, King of the Dragons, Battle Circuit, and maybe the Dynasty Warriors/Warriors of Fate games too. True, some of these (Captain Commando, King of the Dragons, Knights) are on the Capcom collections for the PS2, but they’re missing the best of the bunch as far as I’m concerned.
I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

Mine would definately be an AM2/4 racing compilation game featuring 3 of the best arcade racing games of all time: Daytona USA, Daytona USA 2 and Scud Race.

Just a straight port of each arcade original would suffice although it would have to include online multiplayer capabilities.

I know this would be a dream come true for a lot of people out there and i'm sure it would be snapped up relentlessly.

Mr Nagoshi, are you listening!!!
I think re-releasing the Daytonas would require a new license from NASCAR so Sega will likely never bother (note the absence of Daytona from the now-defunct Sega Ages 2500 lineup). However that being said Daytona USA is already perfectly playable using ElSemi's Model 2 emulator.. and Model 3 emulation will be finished one day thus enabling us to enjoy titles like Sega Rally 2, Scud Race and Daytona 2.

I can confirm that this was a great Virtual Boy game. It really us ed the depth feature well.
Mother Anthology – Preferably for the Wii, but a DS release would be great too. Collects the Earthbound/Mother series. Mother/Earthbound Zero gets a full translation and graphical overhaul, Mother 3/Earthbound 2 gets a full translation as well.
There's been some vague rumblings of a Mother 1-3 compilation on the DS. Nothing more than insubstantial rumors.

A Shining Force compilation would be just fine with me.

I think the big 3 should come out with comp discs with all the best exclusive XBLA, PSN and Wiiware games. For people who collect and like there games on disc as opposed to HDD it would be a dream come true. Not to mention they would sell like hot cakes because of the millions who don't or can't go online. Unfortunately I think there would be some issues with licensing and what not.

Dragon Force portable (1&2 in english)
Megaman Powered Up complete
Castlevania Chronicles Anthology

'Course the PSP with an 8-gig card is pretty close to everything I want already.
As far as best-of collections go for all the old systems it can already do it (except SNES lags).

Some good ideas here - I'd love a Castlevania comp.

Here's a weird one. Kind of dumb/obvious but would be cool to see: evolution of Mario games. Since so many of these are widely available, it would have be extremely thorough and should come with awesome liner notes and vids with Miyamoto and the people he worked with.

Donkey Kong - arcade & NES
Mario Bros. - arcade & NES
SMB - NES & SNES
SMB2 - NES & SNES
SMB2J - NES & SNES
SMW
Yoshi's Island
DK '94
SML 1&2
SM64
Sunshine
maybe toss in some oddities like Wrecking Crew or WC'98, and one or two of the best RPGs or sports games to show the extension of the IP over time.

I still say that when you consider how influential and finely-tuned the included games are, that SM Allstars + SMW cart for SNES might be the greatest gaming comp every released, pound for pound.
