I mean, I don't think thats a guarantee. I like me some Contra, I love me some Gunstar Heroes. I find Vectorman to be god-awful though.

I struggle to describe exactly why, but everything feels off to me. It controls wrong, you jump too high and too fast but the screen is zoomed in too much. The shooting feels slow and it feels hard to dodge with any finesse. The graphics are ugly and bland too.

I know some people love the music, which is fair enough, but I find it really repetitive and think it could use some more variety.

Playing dragon quest 8 on 3ds and am over 3/4ths done with it. Just finished Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and moved on to Dreamfall Chapters. Some of the best adventure games right there

I have a lot of interest in those games. But I don't know if adventure point and click stuff is for me. I'm starting to wonder if I should consider watching playthroughs of them online.

Was thinking of that idea today while listening to some Snatcher music.

You're right. Not sure why I'm posting about Genesis games in the Souls thread.

I would say play them and try to figure out the puzzles. Only one of the puzzles in the longest journey is super obtuse and early on. The rest if the games are VERY straightforward and doable. I Duncan understand if you want to just watch though. If they don't click they don't click.

I have watched the playthrough of resident evil because I just can't play them.

Well, unfortunately after testing on one machine, Arx Fatalis is a no go. I'm not out of options to play it, but I'm not going to get to it just yet.

That said, Urban Chaos does work. I'm terrible with it's controls, particularly when it comes to driving, but it seems like a fun game.

What's wrong with Arx Fatalis? That's why I haven't played it yet myself, lol. Tried once or twice years ago but it was completely jacked up. Something like SFX issues, wacky sped up framerate, etc.

I was loosely planning and hoping on giving it another shot sometime very soon-ish, considering Prey is out next week or something. It would be kind of fun and cool to play some old Arkane back to back with their newest, and after I just burned through Dishonored 2 twice as well.*

* Yep, just finished up my high chaos Emily run today! I think she was made for high chaos haha.

It suffers from a stuttering framerate which makes it nigh unplayable. I might be able to look around for a fix, and I have another box to install and try it out on, but for now I've got enough to play that I can set it aside to marinate for a while.

Also summer is coming, which means I need to be thinking about Ultima III.
