Need help naming this game (2600)
OK, so there's a game that I remember playing but can't remember the name. I'm almost positive it is on the 2600. When you play you use the joystick to make a line that comes out. One side of the line gets colored in. You can make horizontal or vertical lines. I totally forget the object of the game. But I think it was extremely easy. I could have just been playing it wrong, since I was really young, though. This is a really vague memory in my mind but I think the game was one word. I remember it being a strange word, though. I think that if I saw the name of the game and maybe some screenshots I could remember it.
Please help if you could.

Perhaps you're thinking of Snafu on the Intellivision? It was basically a primitive version of the cell phone classic "Snakes," and was awesome.
It is available on the "Intellivision Lives" disc for the Xbox and PS2.

I never had an Intellivision so I don't think it would be that. It was definetly not Snakes. You made a line that either went vertical or horizontal and it stayed there. The line would go all the way from one side to another and one side of the line would get colored in. The game required no reflexes whatsoever.

OK, then I think what you might be thinking of is crayons and a piece of paper.
All kidding aside, that sounds like a pretty boring ass game.
EDIT - Take a look here and see if any of the names jog your memory - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Atari_2600_games

It was, I think. I was so young that it was fun. I was actually playing it incorrectly, I just didn't know.Cassidy wrote:OK, then I think what you might be thinking of is crayons and a piece of paper.

EDIT: I've been browsing the list for a while now... Nothing yet...

I think you're talking about Surround. Not a great game, but hardly the worst. My friends and I tried to tell ourselves it was just like the light-cycle sequence in Tron. It was, a little, but the game was too slow to be very good.
Also, there was a game variation that wasn't a game at all. You just used the joystick to draw blocks on the screen. Again, not very exciting, but it did enable you to write four-letter words on your television. Cheap thrills!

It was on the Surround cartridge. Game variation 15, I believe.

Actually, the non-game was game variations 13 and 14.
Don't take this screen personally. Just showing you what this game can do!
