Yeah, legal reasons. They can basically put any content online that they broadcast on their cable channel.

Hulu also doesn't allow people outside the US to watch videos. I'm then forced to pirate their content.

Well maybe if you would just let the US rule the world you would be considered part of the country and get your Hulu streams. Plus, you wouldn't have to wait 6 months on a PAL release for your games.
