Good job, you found the Master Sword.Exhuminator wrote:A Link to the Past
I walked three miles through the woods just to play it on release day.

Well played, very well played.

Most excited: Ocarina of Time
Favorite: Link to the past or Wind Waker (im honestly pretty torn)
I think Link to the past is mostly nostalgia at this point, or ive out-played it, but Wind Waker is so good.
Havent played breath of the wild yet. Honestly its very pretty, but im not super excited to play it.

I am very excited to play Adventure of Link. Not kidding, I've been reading people's thoughts on it and I'm very intrigued, I really want to check it out

It's an interesting game. I have finished it on FDS, NES, and GBA - all as an adult as I never had the patience to complete it as a kid (I've owned it since 1990 or so). It's certainly rough around the edges, as most ancient side-scrolling ARPGs are, but it's brilliant in many areas as well. Controls are clunky but aesthetics are top-notch. Dungeons are well-designed and I dig the alternating top-down and side-scroll viewpoints. It's hard, but there are various ways to alleviate this. I think the more I play the game the more I enjoy it.Erik_Twice wrote:I am very excited to play Adventure of Link. I know it has that health spell in Zelda II, but I truly believe a lot of the complaints about th game would be minimized if not mostly removed had they like any other title in the line had health (heart) drops, even if they were as infrequent as the magic vials. It takes a bit until you get to that spell so it's almost nastier earlier in the game in a way than later.

Re: Which Zelda game were you most excited to play?
I suppose I was fairly excited for Skyward Sword, as I do remember preordering the special edition with the snazzy Wiimote and such. I don't really tangibly remember the excitement though. I'm not as good as remembering things as y'all are, I guess XP
I tend to get very excited in the moment, and then totally forget about it until way after it's out. I was so hyped for the Switch back before it was announced, and then I actually forgot the day it was even coming out. It was just, "oh yeah, the Switch comes out today." I suppose that might have more to do with how infrequently I buy games new, though, than anything.

Probably was that. I kind of was the same. I wasn't paying a heap of attention into the news about it or much else other than seeing what games maybe popping up. It wasn't until a few days before I realized what day that release was, still kind of forgot too. I just happened to bumble into a Best Buy (very rare) as I was bored to look for something and they had a sign out front saying be here at midnight for Switch. That's when it clicked on me and I went back to pick it up as I had ordered it online just in case I decided I wanted one to keep (or I'd have just left it there and got a refund.)
The last time I think I bought a new game before that was amazon prime preorder of Mega Man Legacy or Dragon Quest VII 3DS one of the two, and before that was Godzilla on PS4. The prices just don't interest me enough to pay new sticker anymore on games unless I really think I'll get my value out of it.

Wind Waker, mostly due to being so disappointed in Majora's Mask.
