Re: Top 10 favorite games ever.
Number 1 is the only one in order, I like the others for different reasons (that I'm too lazy to list). I don't even know if I would call these my top 10, they are just 10 of my favorites that I could think of at the time.
1. Half Life 2 (360) (really the entire saga, but this is my fav of them all)
2. Portal (360)
3. Gunstar Heroes (Genesis)
4. Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Genesis)
5. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (Xbox)
6. Gran Turismo 2 (PS1)
7. Merdcenaries (Xbox)
8. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
9. Conkers Bad Fur Day (N64)
10. Return Fire (PS1)
1. Half Life 2 (360) (really the entire saga, but this is my fav of them all)

Re: Top 10 favorite games ever.
Jet Grind Radio (DC): My friend Cory brought his Dreamcast and this game to my house one weekend when we were in sixth grade. I absolutely fell in love with it and became obsessed with it to the point that I actually bought a Dreamcast just so I could play it that summer. It was also one of the first games I purchased when I recently picked up a Dreamcast again. It's still one of my favorite games ever.
Final Fantasy VI (SNES): This is probably my favorite non-tactical RPG, although I have yet to play much of Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, or Earthbound.
Metal Gear Solid (PSX): CDink said it best when he said that this game is an experience. This game truly astounded me when I played it for the first time, with its perfect voice acting, great use of the DualShock controller, amazing storyline, and great gameplay.
Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX): This game has excellent gameplay and an awesome plot, and would have been perfect if it hadn't had such a bad translation. Even with such a major flaw, t's still one of the best games ever made.
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES): I spent countless hours playing this game when I was six or seven years old. I'd love to get it again soon.
Super Mario Kart (SNES): My mom and I used to play this game for four or five hours at a time in Battle Mode. It's one of the most addictive games I've ever played.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES): This was one of the first two games I ever owned. The music from this game really takes me back.
Guitar Hero II (PS2): This game is extremely addictive, better than its sequel in almost every way despite the large number of covers in the song list and worse graphics, and very, very fun to play with friends, although it's not as good as Rock Band for that. I have played this game way too much in the last two years.
NFL Blitz (PSX, Arcade): This is my favorite sports game ever. My cousin and I played this a lot in the arcades back in 1998 and 1999, so it was one of the first games I bought for the Playstation. There's nothing like sacking the quarterback three times in a row with a crazy linebacker who shouts insults every time.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2): I wasn't sure at first whether I would put this on the list, but after considering it, I think it really deserves to be here. It improved upon the gameplay of Metal Gear Solid greatly with first-person aiming and shooting. There are also plenty of opportunities to kill guards painfully and set up traps in certain areas. The story, although much more twisted and bizarre than the story of the first game, is still good. It's certainly one of the best PS2 games ever.
