I finally popped in Darkwing Duck like a week ago as the first game to beat on my Analogue NT Mini, and remember thinking this'll probably never be re-released thanks to the licenses involved.

Welp.

Aside from Tale Spin I already own all the games in this collection, so I'm not personally going to buy it, but I'm happy to see this happen, they're great games and post-NES gamers should be given a chance to experience them. What I don't really understand is the rewind function. These are already entry-level games into the 2D action-platformer genre, there's no need to make them any easier. Heck, any easier and the games would have to play themselves.

The only two games in this collection I have yet to play for real is Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers 2 although that alone makes me want to buy this collection.

Currently I'm still in the honeymoon period with my Switch so I'm a little sad that it still hasn't been announced that the system will receieve this game as well. Hopefully all the backlash from the Interwebz that are going on atm will change Capcom's mind about that.

I think rewind is a great feature. I'm not good at this sort of games and i think i tried Chip 'n' Dale at one point and it was not as easy as you make it to be. I think i might have even had problems with the first level.

If you gew up playing games like mega man then sure. It's easy in comparison but if you didn't grew up with those sort of games then it might not be.

I have no major issues with the rewind feature. Actually, it can be pretty fun jumping back out of pits and such. But I do think there should be a hardcore/achievement mode that disables it and rewards you for doing so (like unlocking a soundtrack or something).

But really, this is probably marketed as a casual game collection anyways.

There's a time trial mode and it disables rewinding.

I don't think any of these games should qualify for some hardcore mode. These were purposefully made easier DISNEY games based upon childen's cartoons that ran during afternoon tv late enough to be after school. Stuff like Duck Tales and Chip n Dale make the Super Mario games look harder.

Time trial then, that works well enough.
Hardcore was probably the wrong adjective anyways (I should have said "old school" or "original" mode.

Weren't there cries about it being difficult when the Duck Tales remake came out? Not that I would consider it difficult, but I always thought the original game had just enough challenge to be satifying.

I'm not sure what the current generation thinks is fun anymore...
