So what have you guys been watching lately?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It was kickstarter last year and discussed moderately here. How did you guys miss that?

Fair enough.

I am stoked that they are starting with Reptilicus. There was heavy fear in the fandom that they would go with all 80s and 90s movies instead of classic schlock. I still have high hopes they will cover Traxx at some point.

I agree.

I also didn't expect it to look so good. Later efforts by the MST3K team lacked the show's magic, but the new season seems to capture it perfectly.

Joel and Mike are working together on this, the rift that Jim Mallon created when Comedy Central got involved is now gone.

Jim Mallon was one of the EPs on the show since the beginning and won the fight with Joel for creative control of the show. It caused all sorts of issues, like losing Joel and the original bots, and half of the writing team. While Cinematic Titanic and Rifftrax only had some of the magic, there was something magical about a guy talking to robots...

I will be hosting a party at my house on the 14th for new episodes. Ill have Gypsy a new stand so she can get in on the festivities aswell (Instead of living in the garage).

wasn't Jonah Ray supposed to have something to do with the new show, too?

Yeah, I was aware of the Kickstarter, but hadn't heard anything since then and assumed it was further down the line.

This might actually force me to create a Netflix account.
