Likely the smarter choice. The thing is, I wouldn't say it is or isn't happening, but watch E3 this year as far as virtual console goes. The system has the power, and they finally have a truly solid network up for distribution so would it really be a surprise if certain GC and Wii games popped up? Just saying.

WiiU is done, it'll get a smattering of stuff, but odds are as failed out as it is, and how Nintendo would like to make more money I think they'd probably carry over quite a few WiiU projects as remakes, remasters, upgraded ports. MK8 Deluxe is just the beginning. I think they're doing that both as an interest test but also to have something cozy to rake in the cash for them through the middle of the year as Zelda as behemoth sized as it is can only carry on hard so long before falling off too.

GC and Wii will be interesting. I suspect it was easier to pull those off on the Wii U because of the hardware/backwards compatibility. With the change over to Tegra, it might be trickier than we think.

What I'm really ready for is a Netflix and YouTube app to drop. That system is the perfect size for viewing before bed, and pretty comfortable to hold, to boot.

Square Enix has announced a Mana collection for the Switch.

Slated for a June 1 release in Japan, it will feature Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, and Seiken Densetsu 3.

I know Adventure and Secret of Mana are both on Android already (is 3 as well?) so I'm gonna go ahead and guess that the Switch version will be the Android games. But still that's cool for you Switchers, right?

Good thing it's region free. :D

I know, it's great! I just don't want to have to wait any longer to play it.

Supposed to be pretty pricey, but I'll pay the S-E tax if we get an official SD3 translation.

If we get this translates and in the states, it will score huge points for the fan base, even if it isn't a huge financial success and it is again a perfect fit for the switch.

I picked up The Binding of Issac yesterday, been thinking it over if I wanted to buy it again, but then I saw that people are already trying to scalp the physical copy for more than retail, so I got myself one before it becomes some rare expensive title or something.

The physical release is pretty cool, it has a reversible cover, legit manual that is an homage to the original Zelda one, and has some stickers (that will no doubt be essential for it to be considered "complete") I played the game a fair bit when it was new on PC, but didn't really play the expansions, so there is a lot of fresh content for me to see.

I read up on that, it's going for $43USD converted on current yen-dollar values, so same price as I Am Setsuna. Not bad for 3 games, even if they're more or less fairly straight forward ports. *IF* there is an english option and a physical release come June 1st when it arrives in Japan, I'll import it just like I did with Setsuna (which yay arrives on Friday at the latest.)

(Given SOM is like what a $40 loose SNES cart now, hard to complain if you think about it.)

That being said, I don't feel bad about emulating the game or playing on SD2SNES, as I recently obtained a SFC copy. 8)
