You guys oughta check out Lost Kingdoms II. It's just as good as the first, but with a lot of quality of life features that make things much smoother than before.

It's one of the last games I still want for the little lunchbox and definitely on the agenda.
Game Systems Owned: NES, NES 2 (AV mod), SNES, SNES 2, N64 (Pikachu), N64 original (boxed), Gamecube (Orange, Silver, Purple), Wii, Wii U (Zelda), GB Pocket, GBA (2x-Arctic & Indigo), GBA SP (3x), DS Lite (Crimson/Black), 3DS (Aqua Blue), Sega Genesis and 32X, Game Gear, Lynx, PSP (2x), Vita, and Gold PS4.
It's definitely on mine. I'm almost certain that I don't own it and next to that $150 cube game, the 1st tales of symphonia, and fire emblem, those are the last few I know of on my current list for the system. Of course this and the DS are systems I'm still not fully aware of what is left that I don't have that I might be missing. I got in on both a little late and now everything is getting hard to find the gems that I don't already have at this point...
My gameroom My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

So I just picked up wave race complete for 5.00. I really want to get back into this system but my wallets says no lol. Any feedback or ideas to give me to find or buy games for this gem. So far I feel the waiting game is best. No flea market or thrift stores have anything here
Waiting for a deal works, but if you stray away from a good bit of the first party games and a few screwy outliers which don't all make sense (why Gauntlet?) Much of it is quite cheap. There's a lot of complete games you can snap up in the $5-10 range that are actually quite fun. Its when you want to get into 1st party stuff you can get screwed so those you have just two choices on. 1) Wait. 2) Sell stuff to get stuff and even then don't pay the highest be patient and save 15-20%.

Yeah, all of this for sure. But not all first party is expensive. Wave Race as mas picked up is $5 complete easy, not to mention games like 1080 Avalanche are also good deals. Now we talk Mario and Zelda, that's the dangerous first party stuff. I'm *still* looking for a good deal on Smash Bros. Melee. Patience is key, because I was able to get Mario Kart for $30 years ago.
I mentioned the price gap in Gauntlet in the Together Retro thread - the PS2 and the Xbox port which is probably the best of the 3 are both around $15 complete and the GC version of Dark Legacy is trending at $50 and up!? Plus there were three releases of it to fix certain bugs! I got my copy for around $20 and I thought nothing of it until I started researching the price history!
There are good Gamecube deals, just know your average prices and be patient on certain games, you'll do far better that way.

Two basically Dreamcast conversion/upgrade titles have gone inexplicably stupid on price, Gauntlet is one, the other is Phantasy Star Online. I'd love to recommend both, but if you had to have one due to price Gauntlet is the far better pick up since you can't get the other online unless you go through some hoops that isn't worth it.
According to the Nintendo.wikia.com which has master game lists by region there are over 530 GC games released in the US so there's a pretty healthy library of titles that came out between 2001-07.
I may be off on this as I'm not going to be digging up prices on these but I'm fairly certain these would fall into a $5-25 range which is very fair. Using that site so this will be in order by year.
Batman Vengeance, Crazy Taxi, Luigi's Mansion(if lucky), NHL Hitz 2002, SSX Tricky, Star Wars RS2, and Wave Race.
Animal Crossing, Beach Spikers, Bloodrayne, Capcom vs SNK2 EO, Defender(my game), Dragon's Lair 3D, Evolution Worlds(evo1+2 from dreamcast), Godzilla DAMM, Medal of Honor Frontline, Metroid Prime, Namco Museum, Resident Evil 1 and Zero, Sonic Adventure DX1 and 2(with patience), Sonic Mega Collection, Spy Hunter, Star Fox Adventures, Timesplitters 2
1080 Avalanche, Beyond Good & Evil, DBZ Budokai, Mario Golf & Tennis, MOH Rising Sun, Mega Man Network Transmission(much like 8bit era stuff), Midway Arcade Treasures 1, PN03(with patience), PoP Sands of Time, Soul Calibur 2, SW RE3 Rebel Strike, The Sims, True Crime Streets of LA(like GTA3 but real world locations), Tube Slider(f-zero before there was one), Viewtiful Joe, Wario World
Alien Hominid(patience), Bomberman, Call of Duty Finest Hour, Custom Robo, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Metroid Prime 2, Midway Arcade Treasures 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, Wario Ware
Battalion Wars, CoD 2 Big Red One, Chaos Field, DDR Mario Mix (w/out mat), From Russia With Love(Connery voiced bond game), Mario Superstar Baseball, MOH European Assault, Midway Arcade Treasures 3, Resident Evil 4, Star Fox Assault, Sonic Gems Collection, Spartan Total Warrior, Super Mario Strikers.
Other than that stuff we get into the $25-50 club or worse in a few cases, or stuff I'm not familiar enough with price/game itself to recommend or not. Clearly stuff like Mario, Zelda (all 4), Fire Emblem, Chibi Robo, Tales of Symphonia, Eternal Darkness, Ikaruga, Gauntlet, Smash Bros and so on are good choices but they'll cost you more.
Those games you listed, I have many of, so they're all great cheap picks.
Star Wars RS2 Wave Race Beach Spikers Capcom vs SNK2 EO Medal of Honor Frontline Sonic Mega Collection 1080 Avalanche MOH Rising Sun Midway Arcade Treasures 1 Soul Calibur 2 SW RE3 Rebel Strike True Crime Streets of LA Viewtiful Joe Call of Duty Finest Hour Midway Arcade Treasures 2 Viewtiful Joe 2 Wario Ware Battalion Wars CoD 2 Big Red One Chaos Field MOH European Assault Resident Evil 4 Sonic Gems Collection Resident Evil 1 and Zero
I picked each one of those up for under $20 and all complete too. The most expensive for me was CvS2 at $20 but that was at a local store. Many of these I even got right here from other Racketboy members, and if you can find someone with a need to sell, the best GC deals can be right here.
