As far as I can tell, crabs are not critters. I can't answer the first question sorry.

I guess it's like "is it a fruit or vegetable" kind of thing.

Weird glitch I've encountered after two sessions and even some fast traveling for some loading... but the prayer statue in Hateno village for me is not there anymore. But when I move Link up against where it should be he stops, like an object should be there. But nothing is there or no prompt. Weird.

Just got the three rune upgrades. 9 hearts, 32 shrines, 51 Korok. Did the Zora dungeon and it was pretty cool. Definitely short and easy, but I guess I really don't mind it with the style of this game, even though I'll always love and prefer the bigger labyrinths of the old.

There's a statue in Hateno village? I've never noticed it. Or maybe I've always had the glitch

I think I only saw it once. You know where the Inn is? Go up there and there's a little nook alongside the outside of the building wall where the statue should be, right by a lit fire.

Are there two identically placed buildings with a fire outside? lol

I swear I thought it was the Inn, right outside of it some guy gave me a quest to check out the girl at the desk for styles she likes or something weird.

Was going to try and do more shrines but it got boring fast, ended up near Akkala so I went and unlocked the whole tech lab bit there...ugh 2K for armor, but mmm useful I imagine quite a bit probably in dungeons, definitely against guardians. Then went and did the Goron bit, some. Ran through one elixir then a second and with 1sec left on the clock talked to the guy and got the armor before burning through another. Unlocked little quests in there, saw the dramatic cut scenes for the raging beast, dropped 2 shrines ultimately and got heart #10. Also found a few korok seed along the way too (3-4.)

I just didn't want to play it as much as I have, cut it off and finally fired up Blaster Master 0 and oh my that game is awesome. I'd have no complaints over the NES game if someone remade it just by adding in save spots and that handy little map.

Yes it does. Your inventory also will tell you if you have flammable items when you're in a place they'd catch fire or if you have metallic items during a thunder storm. Really nice little touches.

Btw, finished with 120 shrines. You guys gotta step up your game.

That's nuts. I feel like I've put in a crazy amount of time to this game and I've only just got the first divine beast (the Zora one).

This is where I'm at:

31 shrines completed.
About 65 or so Korok seeds found so far?
1 divine beast.
7 hearts
4 extra portions of stamina
1 great fairy found
2 memories located.

I'm currently finishing up sidequests around Zora's Domain and exploring the last section of the Lanayru map. I got a bit distracted by veering off to the foothill stable near death mountain though. I plan on doing that later (I'm gonna head north from the castle as my next point of call), but there's a shrine to find based on a painting at the stable, and dammit I'm gonna find it.

Tanooki: I went Guardian hunting yesterday to get all of the materials needed to make a full set of the Ancient Armor. I basically destroyed all of the ground based Guardians at Hyrule Castle. With the ancient arrows those things don't seem as "scary" as I thought. Anyway, I got the armor but since I killed so many of those things I don't know if the armor would be really useful going foward.

Doesn anyone know what else is special about the Ancient Armor? Would it be useful against the smaller Guardians that have those blue weapon drops?
