Ack wrote:That's ok. From what I've read, the SNES release of Ultima VII is also significantly different from the original PC release, so it'll be worth exploring just to check out what all was changed.
Mostly cleaning up the violence and making it shorter (I wanna say it's very significantly shorter, but I don't know for certain so don't quote me on it Xp ). For example, in the start of the PC game, you arrive to a gruesome murder in the village where someone has done a ritualistic dismembering and killing of the blacksmith in his stable. In the SNES version, the ritual and gore surrounding it are completely gone, and the blacksmith has just been kidnapped

I recently got back into playing my Famicom GB Micro so started up Mother 1 again.

Its the translated cart. I've got 3 of the songs so far and have just beat the Starman Jr in the zoo.

Mother has some great atmosphere but is kind of a slog gameplay-wise. Parts two and three are absolutely stunning, however.

Now see, this is what I like. I come here and ask a question, and the answers I get are all a great mix across the board that shows a wide ranging love for the genre. Not sure which one I will grab, but I am sure I will enjoy eventually having and playing all of them.

Keep up the good work, fellas.

Well I'll be weird and vote Paladin's Quest, because it's sequel Lennus 2 visually looks rad.

Both the Lennus games are pretty damn swell.

Yeah, the original Mother definitely suffers in the battle department. At least you get a super powered robot buddy near the end of the game so you can power grind for the end.

Have bit of leeway before i get to play Gravity Rush 2 so i decided to start Pokemon Sun. 2 hour's into it and not much to say yet expect that the team skull people might be fun fun gang to have around and i like that you don't have to remember what moves are effective against pokemons you have encoutered.

Tactics Ogre Ret Us Cring Together

Last I lamented here I'd made note of dispassionately marching my army out of the Hanging Gardens, due to lack of resources and under-powered units. Well I took their flabby asses out into the wilds and trained them (read: grinded) for another EIGHT HOURS. So I've raised some levels, learned new skills, gotten better gear, even taught these soldiers how to tie their own shoes. Then I lead them back into the Hanging Gardens, and easily defeated the first battle, but this time chose an alternate path. So now I'm on a different path then I initially took, a hopefully far shorter one. Because let me tell you ladies and ladymen, I know you're all very tired of reading me complain about TO. No more whining. No more woes tossed forthright unto the indifferent abyss. Victory shall be a flavorful feast succulent with the blood of my fallen enemy!
