I am amazed you can get that kind of stuff on $20 a week.

Here's what I got this week:
Image
$10 new/sealed off Amazon free shipping

$30 new/sealed off Amazon free shipping
-I know there's a $29 "The Disgaea Triple Play Collection" with $4 shipping that has D2 and Disgaea 3 & 4 for PS3, but I already have D3 and D4 on Vita, so I saved myself the extra $5 and just bought D2.

Also grabbed this off Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... stFrontier
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

It's more like $30 a week these days, plus some occasional splurges.

Japanese games remain nice and cheap, for the most part. Even for genres we consider to be traditionally expensive in the West (ie: RPGs). The games shown above were $24, $10, $8, and $5.

Oh and Blood Gear, which I have yet to play as I've only owned it for a matter of hours, looks a bit like Front Mission: Gun Hazard. Some sort of mecha ARPG.

Indeed, I checked it out years back. The thing is there's a lot of moonspeak on the overhead sections:

I was hoping someone would translate it someday, but hackers aren't exactly gusto about PCE translating, so probably a vain wish. If you play through it, and it turns out to be playable without understanding the dialogue, I'd give it a try.

I bought Super Monkey Ball for the Nintendo Gamecube.

I have always wanted to play the Super Monkey Ball games as they seemed so much fun and an enjoyable little romp. I was looking for the Gamecube version for a bit and I stumbled upon it at a Retro Game store and I just had to pick it up.
That's a great game and if you haven't played it you're in for a treat. The bonus games are just as good if not, in some cases, better then the main game.
That was kind of one of the main reasons I bought the game. I wanted to play the single player, but I am highly interested in playing the multiplayer.

A former forum I used to go to had a High School teacher who brought in Super Monkey Ball, a GameCube and 4 controllers and the class was entertained for the entire day. That sold me on the game and I just had to get it. It seems really fun and interesting, so I can't wait to get around to playing it.

I was on the tech crew in college. We played Monkey Ball 4p on a movie screen laying down on the stage during a snow storm. One of my fondest gaming memories from that era.

Yeah, it looks cool. Only took them three decades to finally make a good looking sequel.

Actually makes me wish I got the Switch now.
(I have no problem saying I think Blaster Master outdoes Metroid 1)

Believe it or not, I enjoyed Overdrive despite its foibles. And I thought Blasting Again was a lot of fun, too.

Blaster Master 2 is a piece of garbage, though.
