After that I think I'll just concentrate on hearts.
I've had one of each, and I did one of each and glad I did. Be sure to get +1 stamina boost. The tower you find (likely #3) on the way to Kakariko which is way up on a mount and has some large barbs around many parts of it is tall. Due to the barbs you can't use all the platforms going up. With maybe 1-2 second stamina left to spare I was able to climb that one without a death dealing fall because of the +1 stamina boost I did.

Trust me, you need it.

MrPopo wrote:The fact you can and should climb every surface is amazing. It actually makes getting the stamina upgrades worthwhile; I went three hearts, then three stamina, and I've really appreciated the extra stamina for climbing. I think I'm going to go back to hearts for a while, as I have yet to encounter a rock face I couldn't climb (the tallest ones have break points every so often).
Ditto. I went with a heart container for the first upgrade but I think I plan to alternate.

Maybe hard to explain, but the Eastern tower that reveals that map, after getting the Shrine Detector from that I managed to get to the nearby shrine. Which was across a huge river between two massive mountains. It felt amazing getting to it (paragliding across the river and it somehow worked out). I could already tell from there that I want more stamina.

Whenever it comes to manipulating videogame geography, I can't help but always think back to the Mako in Mass Effect 1. You too, could also scale anything in that game... utterly hilariously so. But then you sadly realize all the optional side planets were pointless.

Yeah there's a tower I came across where you'll probably need some decent stamina... And heat resistance clothing (or consumables)... and good weapons... and plenty of hearts...

Yeah, needless to say, I'll revisit that tower later in the game when I'm more prepared

I am not very far into this game, but I am still quite confident that it rules. I am absolutely loving it. There's just so much to do!

Y'all are killin' me here. I'm still waiting on my Switch, dang it. It's been sitting in the UPS facility 20 miles away all weekend. :(

Still, super-pumped to hear folks are loving it!

It's crazy how good this game is.
I have to stay away from this thread. I got and tested my Wii U version, but I'm 20+ hours into Twilight Princess HD and I want to finish that before BotW.

So here's a question for the Switch folks... does this game even have loading times/screens?

Wii U wise, I am extremely impressed how fast the loading times are. There's a screen for tips and you barely have time to read only one of them.

It does, and I can flip through several tips at a time when I'm waiting on some of the longer transitions.

The one thing bothering me at this rate in the Zora area leading up to it is that it's far too easy to die from 1 hit kills and I don't mean just electrical. You're a bloody wuss in this game at this rate with little to no way to expand that life bar or cut the damage since there haven't been much armor shops as of yet (seen 2, bought from 2.) I'm currently up where you get the shock arrows for those that far and parked it, no more 4-5+ hours runs on this as I don't need burn out.

There has to be a way to grow yourself more, surely in that expensive print guide, but not so much yet online as faqs are still in their baby steps.

That one dungeon where you take down a guardian I noticed people complaining about where it uses lasers and junk (people taking 10-20+ times and complaining) I got killed once on, it's not that bad.

Hopefully things level out more.
