Disappointment.

Post by Hatta »

Tried to order Phish tickets today. Was sitting here waiting at 12 MST for them to go on sale. Immediately I click through and get stuck in a queue, still waiting almost an hour later. Tried to call, they're already sold out. Couldn't get tickets through the lottery either. Bummer.

I was hoping to see them at Red Rocks. Even have friends in Denver so I'd have a place to stay. Maybe next year I guess...

take the money you were going to use to buy the tickets and purchase "age of quarrel" by the cro-mags instead.

That sucks Hatta. Phish is supposed to be really good in concert.

Indeed. Only saw them once before, at Alpine Valley. Still, I miss them. Nothing like a live Phish tape to put me in a good mood.

As for metal, I try to listen to everything. Buckethead is just about the only act I really dig though, is he considered metal? I'm too mellow really for most metal I guess. Plus, most metal acts aren't taper friendly, which is a big issue. If a band isn't on archive.org or bt.etree.org I probably won't get around to checking it out.

Phish decent... never heard them live and people say if you havent heard them live (not a live tape)... you havent heard em. Fair enough.

I like me some metal as long as the vocals don't make me laugh. Actually that is kind of fun too, but sometimes its just a shame... amazing guitar execution with vocals that really are hilarious! If it is POSSIBLE to understand and has some melody to it (screaming is fine), then I can dig it... even if just for the ridiculously technical guitar playing!

Hmm...well, try these then.

Bonded By Blood - Theme to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Send More Paramedics - Zombie Crew
Gama Bomb - Final Fight

They're pretty goofy, but that's what I like about it.

Screw the metal. Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire are all you need for a good time.
