What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

There is so much gloriously wrong with that poster.

I think my favorite part is the guy hanging out the side of the train. I'm pretty sure that if he stood up he'd be close to 10 feet tall

I am telling yall, you have to get into Nollywood films. Ghana's cinema is insane. Its like if highschool students who dreamed of going to film school got budgets and hard deadlines.

Edit:
Ack corrected me. Apparently that is 2020 Season 2. The sequel to 2020 Season 1 but I cannot find a poster for it.

Instead you get this:

Fantastic Four (2015) oh what a piece of shit that movie is  , The last reboot was pretty cheesy but at least those were passable. This one just outright sucks. The characters are bland and poorly developed, there is a needless 1 year time skip that basically ruins the idea of this being an origin story, and it's pacing is just shit. It seems like the movie had a solid budget and started to go down an interesting darker road then usual but then some jackass completely fucked up the editing and it turned to crap. Honestly I like most of the actors that appeared in the movie and with that cast there was a ton of potential but the writing feels horribly rushed and like it got a last minute censoring as well as liberal cuts to lower run time.

I haven't seen it yet, but I still plan to. FF was always a favorite comic series for me. And I like Kate Mera.

Having now watched about half of "Season 1," those posters are still pretty accurate.

Does she make that face the whole time, or just when she's about to shoot someone?

I went in expecting it to be bad and I still thought it was horrible. The first hour or so is really slow, but shows potential but it's obvious that something went horribly wrong in the middle and it completely flops.
Basically there is all this build up to them getting their powers then after it happens things get really really dark. They wake up in a military base where they are basically test subjects with the military experimenting on their "conditions". Then Reed escapes and there is a 1 year time leap during which basically The Thing is being used as a military weapon killing a bunch of people while they train Sue and Johnny to go out in the field and do the same thing :P. Then they recapture reed and it instantly jumps into a boss fight with Doom which goes by really fast. Then suddenly the government is like you saved the world we won't fuck with you anymore here is a secret base the end  .
Really it could have been a really cool and "different" super heroes movie but it's like someone slammed on the brakes halfway through.

This movie actually makes the other FF movies look like pure gold.

Edit: It has a well deserved 27 meta score and won these fabulous awards.

Watched Gantz:O on Netflix and damn it was actually really good even though I haven't gotten around to watching the anime. CGI is great there budget must have been astronomical  . The story line also feels pretty solid compared to most other anime movies and it's definitely approachable even if you haven't watched the show. It also manages to wrap up pretty nicely at the end. Only thing that bugged me was the subtitle timing was a little slow, but the story is pretty basic and easy to follow anyways.

Trailer:

Really need to go and watch the anime now though seem like it would be right up my alley.

Edit: There is a dubbed audio option avoid it unless you really hate reading subs. Went back and watched a few minutes to see what the quality was like and it's not horrible but it's not very good either. Plus compared to the subtitles which I left on they changed the script in an attempted to make the lips sync a little better and their phrasing doesn't work as well.
