New Zelda title announced at GDC 2009 Nintendo Keynote

Post by Dakinggamer87 »

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks was announced today in San Francisco.
The game looks like it's a traditional handheld Zelda game, but will come with puzzle dungeons and touch mechanics.

Please let it be traditional controls and not touch screen only. Phantom Hourglass would have been much better if it had allowed for both styles of control.

It really looks like it is Phantom Hourglass but with a train instead of a boat, which may or may not be a bad thing. But I must admit Link in an engineer outfit is just wrong.

Based on the gameplay footage, it seems to be touchscreen only. Same engine as Phantom Hourglass.

I'm a bit conflicted on the train thing. On the one hand, all the other footage is great. Nice Zelda action. So I'm not sure how relevant the train is, or what it might mean for the rest of the environment.

I'm ok with the train, but definitely not liking the way that boss fight was set up. I felt like I couldn't see anything.

i admit i only bought a wii because my wife wanted one and because i figured i would HAVE to have it for the next zelda game... is that every going to happen?! this is nuts! twlight princess was a game cube game so they better not use that as their zelda release for the console.

what if there is no zelda release for the wii, could that happen?

I like the fact theres barely no bashing on the fact links in a freaking train.....the zelda universe doesnt have friggen steam powered locamotives when has it ever????

So lets get this straight we give Sonic an ear bashing for a werehog but Link the hero of time as a train conductor isnt stupid -____-

You people sicken me. I freaking hate how Nintendo get away with garbage.....

Amen! Holy crap. I didn't even finish that game. I don't like the mindset or control scheme I guess, that "IT HAS A STYLUS! WE MUST USE IT!"
