How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
If I wasn't focusing on something else right now this thread would be supremely tempting me to dust my interest off in SFC games. I still miss the couple dozen I once had 15+ years ago and would so play most of them again. Part of it though is the distaste in the cost increase since unlike Famicom they've shot up quite a bit more (probably due to the minimal block (snapping off 2 plastic tabs) to importing vs a pinout change (FC<->NES.)

Throwing up the Ack-signal once again, a show I subscribe to on YouTube did Weaponlord this week. It has me so ready for December's TR.

Dragon Quest is actually a loose adaptation of my life and, specifically, the time I killed 2000 slimes and a couple of skeletons before carrying my then-girlfriend (now wife) between continents.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time is a loose adaptation of my life because I was once a teenager, have studied martial arts, and love pizza.
Also, I exist in the stream of time as far as I can tell.
I'm sure my royalty check from Konami is in the mail...

I got dat Buffalo SNES controller. Loving it!
Using snes9x. I guess DirectDraw doesn't work too well thesedays or something though? I was reading that Microsoft hasn't supported it in a long time, driver stuff, no idea. I love the look of it though... games look razor sharp and pixel perfect. But I get some nasty screen tearing even with vsync on.
Wait... now it works! Looks perfect.

I don't want to turn this into a "SNES prices are too damn high!" thread, but does anyone have any recommendations for SNES games that are worth playing but also less than $20 in today's wierd retro market?
