Sega CD Model 1 on Ebay in box

Are they really that rare over there? the Model 1's are quite hard to come by in this country but they are not that expensive.

Also I think the sellers idea of mint condition doesnt really match mine. I can clearly see damage to the outer box, and while it is still in very good condition it is not mint.

That seems way high to me, I wouldn't go for it. Half that maybe. It does look very nice but still to much. THey do seem rare of course but $$$ to much!

Yeah that particular Sega CD has been on ebay I think for a couple months now. I don't think it will ever sell for that price. I still would like to pick up the box for mine one of these days. I remember my local Toy Liquidators having a bunch of model ones in the later 90's. I wish I would have snagged one back then. I know they were heavily discounted, but I cannot remember the price.

yeah ive seen that one for awhile now, i dont think its as rare as it is rare to find one that WORKS. 500$...well MAYBE. if it works perfect, being a collector...id probly spend it just due to the fact its the ONLY one with a box THAT clean that ive seen. But i had a model one and it was a piece...i never could find a working one, so ill keep the model 2. But if someone buys it...let me know...ill offer you 300$

its nice its just not mint. The console itself isnt mint, the box isnt mint, the only thing mint is the fact that he has all the paperwork, or so it appears.

I should email him and tell him how bad he is making us retro gamers in VA look lol.

Now im not much of a gameboy collector kinda guy....but is this guy REALLY thinking those are worth THAT?

Cool? Yes. Worth it? Not by a long shot.

I'd say that's worth MAYBE $100, IMO. The model 1, to me, isn't the most desirable SCD model out there.

Now, if it were a CDX we were talking about that's a different story.
