GBA SP-2003
Nintendo DS-2004
GB Micro-2005

Neo-Geo MVS(arcade)-2016 (though first experienced it in 1990)
Nintendo Switch-2017

Looking back only regret the DSi and WiiU, maybe the Wii, and sort of PS4 as I lost interest fast unlike PS3.

**Inherited in the early 90s my moms Fairchild Channel F2 system and most the games that came out for it too (had like 2/3 of them.) Wish it hadn't been thrown out after I moved...grr. In the earlier 80s had friends with the 2600, one friend had a Vectrex so I've played on them too in the day.

This list also excludes various LCD games from Nintendo G&W line, Tiger Handhelds, etc. Also does not include Coleco tabletop arcade games or wannabes like the Tomytronic Pac-Man.

It's a long list I know, if you're curious about what remains of what was a lot with 1000s of games, signature has a link to my collection and it is still shrinking and growing.

1989 - NES, well it was my grandpa's but I was playing videogames when I was 2. I got my own somewhere around here, think when I turned 4 in 1991 or something.

1993 - SNES

I have no idea from here one. But this is the general order:

Sega JVC
Nintendo 64
Playstation 2 - actually this was the "families", bought my own Slim years later
Nintendo Gamecube
Xbox - first console I bought with my own money, summer mowing lawns
Xbox 360 - 2006 probably, high school graduation present
Nintendo Wii - stood in line at Best Buy in the freezing cold for midnight release
Playstation 3 - I can't even remember how or why I got it, but think it was yet another one from my grandma
Playstation 4
Wii U

Let's see, my grandpa/grandma bought me: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and the Playstation 3. Was kind of a fun tradition for them to get Nintendo stuff for awhile.

Somewhere later in there, mid 2000's probably I scooped up a Dreamcast, few Saturn's, and and Model 2 Genesis. Both my grandpa's and my own NES's died. My original SNES is at my parents, it's dying, browning, and doesn't do Mode 7 correctly. I ended up taking my grandma's which was and still is in mint condition.

I've told the tale about my mom selling the Sega JVC and all my Sega CD and Genesis stuff back in the 90's to someone for $10, the most catastrophic regret of my gaming career.

I also got scammed online with my original Wii. Shipped it all out to someone via craigslist or something with tons of games (don't worry, I wiped the HDD and stuff), and they never paid me. Learned my lesson. Since then I bought two other Wii's... got one of those cool red ones. But I don't think either of them play GCN.

Like most, I went through like 2-3 360's. Quality Microsoft! The second to last model slim has been good to me.

My PS3 is an 80GB slim.

I also got the Gameboy Pocket when it was new that Christmas, but have told the tale of my dad banning it from me and hiding it because that's all my life would have been, so that helped sour me on handheld gaming for life. Somewhere down the road I got a DS and had some multiplayer fun, but basically only cared about it for all the Castlevania games. I got a PSP and hated the D-Pad so I only played like 10 minutes of the Gradius Collection, Valkyrie Profile, etc. Though I did beat FF2 and FF4 Complete on it.

Bone? Where are you?
Well if Arcades are included when did Pong come out? Not going to bother typing, most of the older systems in my signature link I have owned since brand new and when they first came out.

Here is a more in depth explanation of my vintage system history in another original owner video game post.

Oh and click this sound bite first. See if you can guess a very vintage hand held.

Despite only being 30, I think I have experienced a pretty full gamut of video game history. I can't give you dates, but my first experiences as a very young child were with arcade classics and pinball. Then my console experiences pretty much match with the given generational standards. PC stuff really appeared for me in the early 90s with DOOM and such, before that it was mainly edutainment stuff in school like Oregon Trail and the Munchers joints on Apple IIs. I suppose living down south (where time moves like molasses) afforded me the chance to live in the past, so to speak.

Earlier today I wrote a humongous response to this thread, spent like an hour and a half writing multiple pages outlying my full gaming history. Then realized absolutely nobody cared to that extent and deleted it. It was good for self-reflection on my favorite hobby though.

I'll try to keep with the current meme. When I post a year and a platform, that just means that's when I acquired that platform. Likely I continued to play that platform going forward in tandem with new additional platforms as discovered.

1979: Born
1980-1981: Plotted world domination, but was distracted by...
1982: ColecoVision
1983-84: Arcades (didn't "acquire" just went)
1985-86: Atari 2600
1987: DOS PC
1988: SEGA Master System
1989: NES, Game Boy
1990: SEGA Genesis
1991: MS-DOS PC
1992: SNES
1994: Windows 3.1 PC, GameGear
1995-1996: I think I was happy with that I already had during this time.
1997: N64, discovered emulation
1998: Windows 98 and EMULATION OMFGRZ
1999: PS1 get!
2000: Hard to remember, probably PS1 mainly.
2001: GBA
2002-2006: Windows XP PC gaming, hardcore OG master race
2007: PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Dreamcast, DS
2008-2010: Built a new gaming PC, stayed busy with all that I already had.
2011: PSP, Wii
2012: Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS
2013: Vita, Android Smartphone
2014-2015: Happy and busy with what I already had.
2016: Google Cardboard
2017: REPLY HAZY TRY AGAIN
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

This. Totally this. I remember using the college computers and... umm... obtaining many games after I discovered the wonders of VGB-DOS. I even had the pleasure of watching the emulation scene grow to where it is now right before my eyes. I remember playing through Terranigma before SNES9x supported transparencies. Then ZSNES came out, and it was a revelation. Nesticle, then even better emulators for NES. Now, you don't even have to really think about it, though!

One emulator I was very, very partial to was loopynes. The same loopy that did NES emulation on the GBA. Extremely fast, and it ran things that Nesticle wouldn't.

Emulation history would be crazy to breakdown, I was probably there from the start myself haha. And yeah, had a few computer classes in middle/high school where I could easily get the work done in 5-10 minutes, and just played roms the rest of the time.

Only issue was back in those days, how hard hentai and warez co-existed with rom sites. lol, tricky stuff. Maybe that's why I'm a pervert now.
