For anyone not in the know, if you want to play SuperCDs on a turboCD, you had to buy the super system card.
And if you don't have the tuboCD add on and you want to use AV cables, you have to buy the turboBooster.
And if you're thinking of playing a game with more than one player, you have to buy the turboTap.
And if you're thinking of using Turbo16 peripherals on your TurboDuo, you have to buy an adapter.
And if you're thinking of storing more than a few save files on your system, you have to buy the Tennokoe bank card.
And if you're thinking of buying a Tennokoe bank card, you have to buy the Kisado HuCard adapter.
After the jag i told myself a duo was going to be my next and hopefully last console....but after reading this...i feel like i need to beat my head on a brick wall just to get some form of sanity back.
These are the only four player games I know of, what am I missing?
Bomberman 93
Bomberman 94
Battlelode Runner
Davis Cup Tennis
Dungeon Explorer
Hit the Ice
Jack Nickalus Turbo Golf
Sonic Spike Volleyball
Splash Lake (CD)
TV Sports Basketball
TV Sports Hockey
Takin' It To The Hoop
World Sports Competition
Dungeon Explorer 2
Kunio Sports Volleyball (that's a hackneyed translated title)
I think TV Sports Football might be 4 or 5 player.
I'm sure there are a bunch more Japanese titles I just don't know about. This might be a question to search the pcenginefx.com forums for. I'm sure it's come up there.
For those in the know- just a question with regard to the ac adapter specifically for the PC Engine Duo.
So I just received my Duo a couple days back and it plays great, but I've noticed that it gets quite hot within a few minutes of gameplay and in particular the ac adapter that came with the system gets extremely hot. It's not the official adapter but one from Sega.
Specs on that adapter are:
Input: AC 100V 50/60Hz 18VA
Output: DC 10V 850mA.
So for the guys here that have had some experience with these systems, is this adapter good enough to keep the Duo running for long periods without any problems, or should I rather play it safe and try to find an official adapter for the system?

well, i can tell you what turbo zone direct suggests
"Go to Radio Shack and ask for part #273-1771, then ask for a "Q" tip (don't let them charge you another $4.99, a tip is included. It better be for $20.00.)
The tip must be center positive when you plug it into the adapter. Don't worry this will all be clear once you see the part. It's 9V, 1500mA but no one makes a 10V, 1000mA, it was proprietary to NEC. Your Duo will only draw as much amperage as it needs, so that number is OK. 9V has tested well enough.

Check the back of the Duo for power requirements. If it wants more than 850mA then that Sega adapter is just not going to be up to the task for forever. If the system wants up to 1000mA then it's no wonder the Sega adapter gets hot.

Yeah that makes sense and it's what I thought as well. But having asked some of the folks over at the pcenginefx forum, they reckon that adaptor is just fine and that it gets quite hot anyway even when powering it's own model 2 Genesis.
I just reckon I'm gonna play it safe on this one and go find myself an official Duo adaptor.
