Almost every enemy has a weapon. You will not run out of weapons to use. The fun is by using the resources given to you to survive. Imagine a tough fight and your item breaks and you have to clamor for weapons, disarming an enemy, grabbing his club and smashing the crap out of the opposition.

Also... you have unlimited bombs.

I didn't mind Halo 1 on PC having to keep picking up more weapons, it just was a different way to refill ammo really. Given that bombs oddly don't run out, it's not like you're naked when it comes to taking something out in a pinch.

What will set me off would be if it went monster hunter style, not halo grab and go. If I have to start picking plants and berries to make potions, or grabbing the parts of 4 dead animals to create a weapon that'll end up breaking after a little while that'll get me over the game probably pretty quick.

Season. Pass. Zelda. Nintendo.

They did a fine job with Mario Kart 8 DLC. I hope this works out well.

I mean, this is neither the first Nintendo game to offer DLC nor the first to have a Season Pass. Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8 on Wii U are notable examples, and there's also DLC for Smash Bros, Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Fire Emblem...

I find this move neither surprising or upsetting. Nintendo has had a good track record with their DLC generally being decent value, and I suspect this will be the same.

The Mario Kart 8 season pass ended up being great (can't say I bought others of theirs), so it's not like Nintendo can't do them...but a lot of the listed content for that one seems out of character.

It'll depend on how Nintendo handles the DLC, but with Smash, Mario Kart 8, and Hyrule Warriors, I'm pretty confident. If it's fairly priced and delivers some decent content, I think it will be fine. DLC is just a reality nowadays, as much as I dislike that reality.

Not a fan, won't support that. I'll play the game, but I'm not paying more for digital extras they held back to squeeze more money. I don't mind DLC when it's fluff you can totally feel is optional, but when you start holding back modes or areas, that disgusts me. First time that got me annoyed was 3DS Mario Golf keeping 20% of the game under lock n' key, so I sold it.

The Zelda stuff seems to be mostly fluff, but what's the loss going to be with the added entire story and area to do stuff. Vital, or just fan service for those who can't get enough. If it's just fluff, fine, have fun fans. But if it's like Mario Golf I'm going to get annoyed and probably end up with the same result (get rid of it.) I don't and can't support games that do that who then usually throw a GOTY version out a year later at a reduced price for the whole banana.

The only thing that pisses me off is Day One DLC or on-disc DLC. I don't mind extras added months or a year after release.

Well I feel indifferent about the DLC for this game simply because it isn't out yet so I can't gauge how necessary the content is or if it was part of the game that was cut as most DLC appears to be nowadays.

I don't own Smash but I saw that seven characters and five stages has a combined cost of around $45. For me, that's a lot and I feel it isn't worth the cost. In my opinion, this is DLC that doesn't work.

Mario Kart on the other hand was great. All those stages, characters, and karts for a great price. Lots of content there.

Of course, those two games were already complete packages so that stuff is just additional content you can buy without feeling cheated out on the main game.

I'm not upset. I'm just a bit surprised that it's for a main Zelda game. It's a concept that's new to me is all.

It could be like the Witcher 3 DLC. Where the first one was just a few things, the second one was a substantial amount of gameplay in side stories.
