I love the concept and world of Skyward Sword, but dont think I will ever beat it without cheating. I bought it on launch and really enjoyed the first few dungeons. I could get over the controls not working how I thought they should. Then the double whammy of the Imprisoned fight and Silent Realms. I could get past my dislike of the Imprisioned fights - my main issue was that the controls can be very spotty so they become more frustrating than they should be, but the Silent Realms are not for me. The only times I have ever gotten a game over in a 3d Zelda, when it wasnt just me screwing around, was on the 1st Silent Realm. I know some people love them, but they are a huge mark on the game for me.
The funny part of Skyward Sword is that it since every thing has clawprints and colorful banners, it made me love Dinotopia even more. Sadly all the Dinotopia games are trash.

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Given how this current generation of systems we have out this year are, I see no reason at all to own a Sony or Microsoft console as they've devolved into closed up PCs and the best games brought by third parties hit PC (mostly Steam) anyway and look, sound and have better control options plus well Steam sale pricing too. If you must own a console at least at this rate if you consider it one and not a docked handheld the Switch is the only one with a reason to exist at all since at least Nintendo has a long solid train of IP to use and abuse.
Not sure if that's unpopular or not, but it seemed to fit. Sony gave me not one game on PS4 I couldn't get on my computer already I'd enjoy and put money on for a few years now and the One is basically the same.

Eh, there are a good number of games on PS4 that aren't on PC. If they don't happen to appeal to you, then that's one thing...but they do have 'em.

Yeah, I said it. Come at me
I just found Ocarina more interesting. Don't know why. The story was more interesting and I loved the dungeons. The 3DS version is the one to play.
Oh, does the 3DS version fix the part where the game tells you how much a blue ruppee is worth EVERY SINGLE TIME you open a chest with one in it?
'Cause if it doesn't, then it doesn't fix the worst sin that almost every 3D Zelda has committed - treating the player like he/she is a moron with all the brain power of a fast moving vegetable.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Yeah usually 1st and 2nd party games which I have no interest in, so again, I stand by what I said in that statement with the lead in saying 'it may be unpopular saying this...'

PS4 unlike PS3 (which was phenomenal keeping me quite busy) has been a true waste of my time and if I hadn't got it for under $200 a waste of money too. It's a really nice media box for movies on disc or netflix/prime video. I should buy the remote control for it.

Don't get me wrong, the 2D games are not wholly innocent in that regard. But the 3D games are WAY worse for some reason. I don't know why that is particularly, but OoT seems like the point where things really started going down hill with this kind of thing.
After all, it was the 3D series that brought us Navi/Midna/Fi characters that served more to annoy the shit out of the player and interrupt you ever 5 minutes (or more!) for largely stupid reasons. Unfortunately, this bad habit found its way to the later 2D games as well - but I would point out that the worst offenders are still in the 3D titles for whatever reason.
It's all part of the linear, hand-holdy guided-tour flavor that Zelda games have gradually taken on over the years.
I remember playing Oblivion for the first time on the 360. Sure, it has quest arrows to point you to where you are "supposed" to go, but you don't have to - you don't HAVE to do anything in that game. You can explore, go cave diving, do side quests, poke around towns...
A friend asked me what I thought about it. My response: "It's the best Zelda game I've played in years."

Well, as I said, it might be true for you, but as a generalized statement I'd say it's objectively false.
I'd agree that far more Japanese games (particularly) are hitting PC these days, which does reduce the potential appeal of a console for those who have a gaming rig. However, it is sort of a double standard to discount first/second party PS4 games and then exalt the Switch that has little else announced.
