Jaguar must haves

Post by lost_within »

Well, by the end of the week HOPEFULLY the jag will be here...here is the list:

Atari Jaguar Boxed console (1 controller, RF Adapter, AC Adapter, User's Guide)
Atari Jaguar CD console and AC Adapter
2 extra official Atari Jaguar controllers
Zool 2 BOXED
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure BOXED
Zoop BOXED
Atari Jaguar CD Memory Track BOXED
Kasumi Ninja
Wolfenstein 3D
Tempest 2000
Val D'Isere Skiing and Snowboarding with instructions
Official Atari Jaguar Composite Cables with original packaging
Official Atari Jaguar Jag Link BOXED (for hooking up multiple Jaguars together for multiplayer gaming)

So total i have/ will have 4 games that were my "must haves". AvP, Doom, Wolf3d, Tempest...i was thinking about picking up baldies...just the name makes me feel like i must have it lol. But besides these games anyone else have any greats to post up?
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

Atari Karts is a fun kart racer
Flipout is an excellent 3d puzzle game

And that, coupled with what you are getting and already have, is the extent of my Jaguar knowledge

I loved Rayman on the Jaguar.
Also fairly essential in my opinion would be to try and get the s-video cable for your Jag. I don't know what tv you're using, but it made a huge difference on my CRT going from composhite to s-video.

Thats what it was rayman! i knew there was another game i just couldnt remember it, always someone else told me abotu the s video, apparently s video made the jaguar breath life. Which is odd most other s video cables are good...but from what i keep hearing on the jag it was holyhell kinda deal.

Only on a CRT, though.
I've tried the Jag via s-video on my Sony LCD as well and it's nothing to write home about. HD TV's just hate retro consoles, don't they? lol

I had my jag for a few months and collected a few games- the ones that come to mind are RAYMAN and TEMPEST 2000. I love Tempest. Rayman is beautiful, but I just couldn't get into it like I have previous platformers on previous consoles. Good luck with it though. Enjoy that toilet- I mean, CD peripheral. :D :D :D :D :D

Baldies is a good game. worth the price to play it anyhow. Very unique game. Cannon Fodder is fun, and Iron Soldier is a so-so mech game. You may also enjoy Attack of the Mutant Penguins. Its strange, but is worth 20 bucks just for curiosity. Worms of course is a good game on any system, so maybe not a must have for your Jaguar. And last game I recommend, Vid-Grid. Its a puzzle stupid game, but it has a Jimi Hendrix video on it. You cant beat that with a stick.
