I think Elkin said the same about the final boss.

Where does it rank overall for you?

I've been very busy since the middle of this past week, and haven't really had a chance to play anything unfortunately. But def not bored with RE7.

Haha fair enough. I was just joking, but it felt like I was talking to myself :P

I like it a lot. The ending was a bit of a slog, but it didn't really ruin the game. I'd rank it somewhere above 5, 6 and the Revelations games, probably above 0 too. It's no REmake or 4, but it is a damn good, modern take on the classic Resi style we haven't seen since 4 changed things.

I started this up yesterday, put in an hour and a half or so.

Then got back to it today and obsessively powered through to the end.

It's an amazing game, tense, thrilling, moody, and just plain satisfying to play. I've been so hyped up for RE7 for the longest time, and it definitely delivered.

The only part of the game that I didn't like was the final boss. The first 99% of the game was absolutely fantastic.

hoping to jump back into this tonight. Had a busy weekend, so when I had some time to game last night I needed to chill and not be stressed so... Skyrim and Rocket League haha.

But I should at least have tonight and tomorrow night free this week. RE7 is on the agenda.

alright so honestly I had every intention of playing RE7 last night. After dinner I went and fired it up. I'm at the part... right after the dinner table. Anyway, I peered down the long hallway and saw that big guy just standing at the other end and was just like "nope!"

I was just too tired to feel as stressed out as I knew this was going to make me haha. Decided that I was more in a headspace to sit on the couch and watch reruns of The Office that I've seen more times than I feel proud to admit and totally not use my brain.

BTW, I hate parts of games where you're stripped of your weapons and everything and need to escape. Anyway, hopefully I'll build up enough courage to proceed tonight.

Borrowing it from my roommate, it's definitely awesome but maybe not anything insane to me.

I just finished up through the Old House, so got a big chunk in. But I started to get a headache and I'm not playing VR or anything, but I'm pretty sure the console FOV is like... 60-70 or something nasty like that. Probably because of the VR design intentions, but yeah. I guess the PC version has a FOV slider that caps at 90? Well, 90 is what I prefer for FPS's so that would be great, but yeah no option on consoles and I'm pretty sure the FOV is way lower than that.

I just had this problem going into Borderlands 1 on the PC too and seems like a pain in the ass to change it up.

Guess it's another thing I'm picky about with FPS's thesedays and long play sessions.

It's unlikely that the rationale behind that is VR, since that typically uses more. PSVR has a 100 degree FoV, Rift/Vive are 110, and even those are generally seen as being somewhat narrow for the use. More common that they just swap to a lower resolution and detail level in order to maintain framerate.

That said, ew. As with earlier in this thread, I've had those kinds of issues render games unplayable for me as well.
