wait how does this work? Can you not use 360 game discs that are on that list? Or is it you put the disc in and it downloads a digital version? Or...?Phades wrote: Yes, the 360 games will just show up as available to download on your Xbox One but of course they'll have to be in the BC list. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/back ... patibility

Re: Questions about Xbox One
You can use disc based games. It just basically has to download the settings for the emulator per title, similar to what the 360 did for original X-Box games.
MS's writeup is here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/ga ... n-xbox-one
If it's something you own digitally and is compatible, then it'll be in the download list is all.

Re: Questions about Xbox One
Newegg.com has a few consoles that are 20% off with Promo Code: BTERBCE36 if you are looking to pick a XB1 up. Don't bother with the Open box items since they are no returns/refunds and no guarantees
. Everything is still in stock the "view details" button threw me off and made me think alot of it was Out of Stock but they are available once you hit it
.

Re: Questions about Xbox One
well, I still have some store credit elsewhere so if I do get one I'll prob just grab a barebones unit. And really, I wouldn't buy an Xbox One game that is available on PC.
Re: Questions about Xbox One
Well most of the barebones bundles still sit around $240-250 at most places and that's for 500GB models vs the 1TB Division bundle. Could always sell or give away the code for the Division. Game is worth trying out though and XB1 i believe was their preferred platform with some exclusive stuff there. Also the PC port was kind of a disaster at launch not sure if they ever fixed everything.
Re: Questions about Xbox One
The Microsoft Store is also not usually a bad place to order from. They're offering a free game on basically all of them, on top of whatever it comes with (I think it's digital though). 'course, that may be something that most retailers have and just aren't advertising well.
Still, if you want to go cheap, you can get a 500GB original model there for $199 new or $179 refurb, plus a game.
Keep in mind that the internal drive is not easily upgraded (I believe it can be done, it's just a PITA to take apart, and you need to prep the drive as well, etc). It's not really intended to be a user-serviced part. Instead, MS allows for USB storage expansion. So, if you think you'll want a larger base drive, it's a lot easier to get it from the start.

Re: Questions about Xbox One
Yeah they have the 500gb Gears of War bundle for $199.99 with a bonus free game. It's currently out of stock though hopefully they get some more
. They also have the 1TB division bundle for 249.00 which would be like the newegg bundle plus an extra game for $9 more which isn't bad. No XB1 exclusives in the free game list but some okay stuff.

Re: Questions about Xbox One
It's not a console, it's a media player that can stream some extra games to my pc haha.
Re: Questions about Xbox One
Yeah, but why bother when there's another option that will also have 100 x more first party titles if you're ever curious? And just think, you could have been playing RE7 in PSVR right now...
Just not sure I see the point. I'd rather build another PC.
Xbox just looks like a joke to me now.
