Which Wii Games Have Major Replay Value?
I'm thinking about selling my Nintendo Wii as I haven't touched it in several years. Are there any exclusive games that would make me regret selling it? I'm not into motion control games so maybe that's why I haven't found much that I like. My console is modded and I have pretty much every game playable from an external hard drive.
Re: Which Wii Games Have Major Replay Value?
That depends on what exclusives you've played and what you haven't, I suppose. What've you run though already, and what haven't you? Anything in mind that particularly caught your eye, but just never got around to it?
You mention that motion control games don't do much for you, which is completely understandable. However, the Wii also has a solid number of games that don't require motion control. This link may be helpful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_W ... ol_schemes
In addition, Dolphin is apparently the jam, so emulation can be a viable option if you just are tired of having the box.

There are quite a few exclusives as well as unique control (PSX Flightstick and Skycrawlers Flight Sim) options! I don't like motion control but love the instant aim of the Wiimote for FPS and Rail Shooters.

"Major replay value" is a very subjective qualifier. And it's kind of hard to make recommendations, when you haven't put forth your genre preferences or tastes. Lastly, exclusives tend to cater to a console's unique aspects; the Wii's being motion control itself. So to exclude that is to exclude pretty much all the exclusives.
If there's one exclusive above all else I'd recommend for Wii:
But that comes with the caveat you've played the DS game which precedes it.

Is the Wii Final Fantasy that good?Exhuminator wrote:"Major replay value" is a very subjective qualifier. That is one I always wanted, but could never pull the trigger on purchasing.

I loved it.
But don't go in expecting a Final Fantasy game.
This is a bit of a SaGa game in spirit, it's a Akitoshi Kawazu jam after all.

Re: Which Wii Games Have Major Replay Value?
My three main go toes on the Wii are:
Tatsunoko Vs Capcom
Kororinpa
Ghost Squad
House of the Dead 2/3/overkill, Punchout, Wiisports, Lets Tap, Ivy the Kiwi, G1 Jockey, Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Wii Sports, Monster Hunter 3, and others are all on rotation aswell.
The oddball I will throw out there is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time. Its an isometric Action RPG with solid gameplay and online multiplayer between Wiis and DS's. It is a fantastic game to play with a group. The Wii player will have to be the host and the controls are alittle awkward at first (due to the two screens), but it is not hard to get use to.
Though if you are looking at Wiiware the four standouts are:
Bomberman Blast
Bubble Bobble Plus
Tetris Party
Nectaris
Bomberman Blast - 8 player local mayhem.
Bubble Bobble - a 4 player version of the game with hundreds of new maps and the full arcade game with new graphics.
Tetris Party - Solid 4 player Tetris with half a dozen game types.
Nectaris - aka Military Madness.

Re: Which Wii Games Have Major Replay Value?
I'll give you my top 10 Wii games to replay in no particular order.
House of the Dead Overkill
Metal Slug Anthology
Samurai Shodown Anthology
Dokapon Kingdom
No More Heroes 2
Resident Evil 4
Star Trek Conquest
NBA Jam
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Conduit 2
I know Resident Evil 4 has gotten "superior" ports and remasters, Star Trek Conquest is hella dependent on being huge into Star Trek, Fire Emblem is a long and strictly single player experience, etc., but these are the games I'm most likely to replay. Except Samurai Shodown since I don't actually have it yet (speaking of which, if you've got a copy you're willing to sell me cheap, PM me).

What control options are there on that game? It looks interesting yet only has a 49 on metacritic...ElkinFencer10 wrote:I'll give you my top 10 Wii games to replay in no particular order.
