Tropic Thunder is some S-rank funny. Dude also had prostate cancer recently, so that may be your answer.Xeogred wrote:Don't forget the legendary Tropic Thunder.
I've missed Ben Stiller. Why did he suddenly become a bit inactive in the industry?
What was the last movie you've seen?

I'm the odd man out here. I typed out a long tirade about all the reasons I dislike Ben Stiller, and believe me I really dislike him, but I deleted the whole rant becasue it was so negative. This ultimately comes down to two things: 1) Ben Stiller acts so darn certain of his comedic superiority, but 2) he has never once made me laugh.
Basically the worst thing I can say about a comedian is that he doesn't make me laugh. His smug attitude just makes it worse.

I have mixed feelings on Stiller. Sometimes he's really funny in films, and other times he just falls completely flat, but I suppose that's part of the business.

Love him or hate him, Tropic Thunder is by far the best thing he's ever done, and it is very different from just about all of his roles. But he's also helped by a great supporting cast.
And even if you don't like him in Tower Heist, it's worth it just to see Eddie Murphy doing an adult comedy again.

Eddie Murphy was awesome in mr church.

All of this, except that I think Zoolander (the first) might be his personal best where comedy is concerned. Also a good supporting cast.Ack wrote:Love him or hate him, Tropic Thunder is by far the best thing he's ever done, and it is very different from just about all of his roles. The Girl with All the Gifts

London's looking great this time of year.
The influence of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us is pretty palpable in this British zombie flick, with the added benefit that it'd probably be better than Hollywood's own (eventual?) adaptation of Sony's classic game. Watch it!

I read the book. U.S. release got reduced to limited theaters, mostly on-demand.Pulsar_t wrote: The influence of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us is pretty palpable in this British zombie flick, with the added benefit that it'd probably be better than Hollywood's own (eventual?) adaptation of Sony's classic game. Yeah I later learned that it's based on a novel. Perhaps TLoU was rather influenced by it?isiolia wrote:I read the book.
