Eventually I'll get it on the Switch but I'll probably pick it up on the Wii U sometime this year if I see a good sale. Hoping Bestbuy has some Wii U sales once the switch hits and that there are enough Breath of the Wild copies left to make into that sale.

Nope. I'll pick it up when it inevitably floats through Dirt Cheap. Or Bargain Hunt! We just got that new one, and hopefully I'll start finding some deals there too. I saw a dual-set of Pokemon Sun/Moon in there for $48 the other day. I had no desire to buy it, though.

Does anyone know how the USB-C charger works? I'm interested in picking one up so I can charge the Switch on the go, but what do you plug it into to charge it? Can I plug it into a wall outlet or the laptop or do I need some kind of adapter? I'm assuming my normal USB plug/adapters I use for charging phones and tablets won't work?

This is what I'm looking at:

I don't see why it wouldn't. I'm definitely no expert, though.

I heard USB-C is a powerful charge (powerful enough to power laptops), so assumed normal USB plugs aren't powerful enough.

Edit: Ah, ok, so I think this is what I need (http://www.shopto.net/video-games/switc ... ac-adapter). But does one of these come with the main console or is the AC adapter in the main console purely for the dock? The console is kinda confusing...

USB-C can support up to 100W, but it's not a given. Doing that requires using a USB-C port on both ends, which you can see on things like the adapters for the newest Macbook Pros.

If using a USB A to USB C cable like that works (which it does for a lot of devices), then the required power should be within the range supported by that. So, existing power bricks should work. The image that Gamestop has for Nyko's Switch AC adapter shows an A to C cable for it. Plus, the existing Shield tablet uses USB power.

That said, they might be using Quick Charge or something that not every brick supports.

I'm going to throw this out here, and maybe it's a stretch, maybe it is not.

The NES CE uses a USB-C to USB-A(on AC adapter) jack, LITEON branded no less so they're not even making it but using a very reliable supplier for the cabling and adapter.

Perhaps that is what the Switch is using. It would fit the Nintendo MO to develop something, then continually use a supplier of quality parts to keep costs low and reduce them further.

FYI for those who haven't heard - Super Bomberman R is currently listed as $60 most places, but Konami has said that the price is NOT finalized; the $60 tag is being used as a placeholder. That said, they didn't say that it WON'T be $60, but they haven't settled on a price, so it may well sell for $40 instead.

NBA 2K18 announced as a launch game :)

Hmm will this just be a 'reskinned', gimped version of 2K17?

it's cool that NBA 2K18 will be a launch title. I think launch lineups SHOULD strive to include a good selection of genres so that it might appeal to as many gamers as possible.
