Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I didn't pre-order the Wii, and I managed to get one in the first week. Looks like I'm going that route again. I'm okay with this.
That means that I still have never pre-ordered a console or handheld. Yay me?

The build quality will improve and the price will drop after it has been on the market for 18 months.

I'm obviously sold on the system, but I do wonder how it's going to work out. I've had this feeling with Nintendo before, that everything is falling apart and they're going to have to get out of the hardware business. I had this feeling about the DS, and was wrong. I had a bad feeling about the Wii U (even if I loved it and was an apologist for it!), and was right. So I don't know what the outcome is going to be here.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I'd say wait for a holiday bundle to come out late 2017 when some more games are there. Who knows it might get the $250 price drop depending on how things go over the first few months.
Also I really don't like the concept of the joycons for two players. They just look extremely uncomfortable given the button and stick positions. The grip which makes it a little bulkier is a step up but I can't see people using them to often for multiplayer outside of showing off to friends or playing the motion party games. Also if you have a competitive gamer friend they could always rage about getting the shitty controller (the one with the stick just about centered

Could always pull a Rodea Sky Soldier though. Yes it will look prettier but will they throw shitty mechanics in that make it a lesser version. You also have to remember this started life as a Wii U game so it may be better geared towards that systems features.Sarge wrote:The only thing giving me pause is which platform will be better for BotW: Wii U or Switch. Probably the latter.
