Those are franchises. SFII is still the single most pimped out game Capcom has.Sarge wrote:Bionic Commando and Mega Man would like to have a word with you.TSTR wrote:I love how Capcom realizes that SFII is still the best thing they've ever done, so they're gonna pimp it out again.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Even though I'm only interested in Zelda for the launch games, I'm still pretty excited for the Switch. Honestly a big part of my excitement is the fact that it's region free
I would of pre-ordered it already if I wasn't being dumb this morning
Only thing I'm not particularly happy about is that I have a Japanese copy of Puyo Puyo Tetris coming in the mail today, since I thought it wasn't going to be localized. So that's not really the Switch's fault, and more just annoyed at myself for the bad timing.

I'd still take the NES Bionic Commando and Mega Man 2, specifically, but I get your point. They've gone to that well quite a bit, to say the least.MrPopo wrote:Those are franchises. Re: Switch Discussion Thread
All the resolution/framerate would really tie back to is the capability of the HDMI port, not what the system itself is necessarily capable of driving. Realistically, it would not be able to do much (if at all) better than what the Samsung GearVR line does, if not more in line with Cardboard.Tanooki wrote: According to existing knowns the system does 4K natively but at 30fps, only 1080p is locked with 60. I was thinking of VR more differently, another annoying headset and then using the 2 joycons as your manipulator as the tablet looks a bit bit for the head/heck after a bit with weight.
JoyCons would also probably not make for very good VR controllers as-is due to the need for precise tracking in 3D space. The Vive and Rift use multiple cameras to assist with that, PSVR tries to use a single one...far as I see, the Switch doesn't do anything like that. JoyCons look more like they can tell their orientation, and roughly what they might be pointed at, but not where they are in the room/etc.
I don't see how >_>noiseredux wrote: I'll keep my eye on it. I said the same about the Wii U... sadly, I feel like Switch has already announced more games of interest to me than the Wii U had in its entire (short) life.
For the most part, the Wii U has gotten similar titles over its life, and at a similar pace.

Yep. The Wii U rules. I love it. I am not that excited for the Nintendo Switch. (Do we know if it has a touch screen, BTW? I assume that it doesn't...) I may pick one up when the price drops below $200, but I will be content playing LoZ: BotW on my Wii U until then.isiolia wrote:For the most part, the Wii U has gotten similar titles over its life, and at a similar pace.

I'm pretty sure they said it did in the announcement last night.prfsnl_gmr wrote:(Do we know if it has a touch screen, BTW? I assume that it doesn't...)
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I read it had a touchscreen and, not only that, but a proper multi-touchscreen that modern tablets and phones have, instead of the cheap touchscreen that the DS/3DS/Wii U had. Is that not true? I can't remember what is rumour and what is truth.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Yep. The Wii U rules. I love it. I am not that excited for the Nintendo Switch. (Do we know if it has a touch screen, BTW? Re: Switch Discussion Thread
It's got a multi-touch, capacitive touchscreen, so actually a more capable one than previous Nintendo systems.prfsnl_gmr wrote: Yep. The Wii U rules. I love it. I am not that excited for the Nintendo Switch. (Do we know if it has a touch screen, BTW? I assume that it doesn't...)
Actually listed on the features page, way down at the bottom.
